I’m the CTO of Platify.AI, an AI coding assistant that lives in your repo. We turn GitHub issues into tested pull requests automatically. Our product is secure, reliable, and 10x cheaper than the competition.

What challenge were you trying to address with Indeo Solutions?
We hired Indeo Solutions to handle our DevOps and cloud engineering. We wanted to build our infrastructure in multiple clouds, so we hired them to help us with that. We also needed them to improve our CI/CD because our deployments took around an hour. Most of our infrastructure was created manually, so we also hired them to fix that by introducing infrastructure as code.

What was the scope of their involvement?
Indeo Solutions handles our entire DevOps and cloud engineering function across AWS and GCP. When we started working with them, our infrastructure was set up manually, and releases were done by hand, which was slow and error-prone.The scope of the project covers six main areas. First, they’ve rebuilt all our environments as infrastructure as code using Terraform, so everything is now version-controlled and reproducible across both clouds. Second, they’ve built automated CI/CD pipelines covering build, test, and deployment, replacing our manual release process entirely.Third, they’ve deployed and managed Kubernetes clusters to run our workloads in a scalable and resilient way. Fourth, they’ve implemented full observability — monitoring, logging, and alerting — so we can catch issues before customers do. Fifth, they’ve hardened our infrastructure, set up proper secrets management, and established SRE and on-call practices.Finally, they’ve documented everything and coached our internal engineers on DevOps best practices so we can operate the setup ourselves long-term.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We’ve tracked several concrete outcomes. Deployment time has dropped from hours to minutes since the automated CI/CD pipelines were live. That’s the metric our engineers have felt most directly. Our cloud spend has gone down by roughly 45% through right-sizing and moving everything to infrastructure as code, which is a significant line item for us at our stage.Our uptime has improved to 99.9%, and production incidents have fallen by about 70% after the monitoring, alerting, and structured on-call practices were in place. Beyond the numbers, the qualitative shift has mattered too. Our engineers have gone from spending a large share of their time on manual releases and firefighting to focusing on product work. After the enablement phase, we’ve been able to operate and extend the infrastructure ourselves without depending on outside help.The improvements have come in phases. Within the first three months, the CI/CD transformation has already delivered results. That’s when deployment time has dropped from hours to minutes since the automated pipelines have replaced our manual release process early in the engagement.Over the following three months, Indeo Solutions has extended our setup from AWS-only to a proper multi-cloud architecture with GCP, including traffic serving across both clouds. The cloud spend reduction of roughly 45% has materialized progressively during this period as everything has moved to Terraform and gotten right-sized.The uptime and incident improvements have been measured over the longer run. After the initial six-month build-out, we’ve transitioned to a DevOps-as-a-service model with Indeo Solutions, where they support our developers, keep our infrastructure updated, and maintain compliance and security. The ~70% reduction in production incidents and the 99.9% uptime are figures we’ve observed over that ongoing support period once the monitoring, alerting, and on-call practices have had time to prove themselves in production.Beyond the headline metrics, we’ve tracked a few secondary indicators. Deployment frequency is a big one. We’ve gone from shipping every week or two to deploying multiple times per day, which for us is a better measure of engineering velocity than deployment duration alone.Related to that, our change failure rate has dropped noticeably. Because releases have become small and automated, far fewer of them cause problems. When something does go wrong, rollbacks take minutes instead of requiring an emergency session. We’ve also looked at engineering time allocation. Before the project, a meaningful share of our developers’ week went into release management and infrastructure firefighting. After the project, that overhead has largely disappeared, which has effectively given us back capacity without hiring.Once the enablement phase has been done, onboarding new engineers onto our infrastructure has become much faster because everything is codified and documented. A new hire can deploy safely in their first week. Finally, on the business side, the improved uptime and multi-cloud resilience have strengthened our position in customer conversations. Being able to demonstrate proper SRE practices and 99.9% availability has mattered for the enterprise clients we’re pitching.
How did Indeo Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?
Project management is one of Indeo Solutions’ strengths. They run the engagement in clear phases with defined deliverables, and everything lands on schedule. The CI/CD transformation has been live within the first three months exactly as planned. The multi-cloud expansion to GCP has followed on time in the next phase. There’s never been a point where we’ve had to chase them for status or wonder where things stand.Communication is structured but lightweight. We have regular check-ins and a shared channel for day-to-day questions. Indeo Solutions also provides clear documentation of decisions. When something needs our input — access, architectural choices, prioritization — they flag it early rather than letting it block progress.They manage the scope well, too. When we ask for additions, they’re upfront about what it would mean for the timeline instead of quietly letting things slip. In the ongoing support phase, that reliability has continued. Requests from our developers get picked up quickly, and infrastructure updates and compliance work happen proactively without us having to drive them.
What did you find most impressive about them?
What impresses me most is that we get senior-level engineering across the board. With Indeo Solutions, every person who touches our infrastructure clearly has years of production experience. There’s no learning on our dime and no junior staff hiding behind a senior salesperson. They’ve seen our problems before at other companies and come in with opinions on what works, backed by reasons, not just “what would you like us to build?”They work toward making themselves optional rather than indispensable. Everything is documented and codified in Terraform, and they actively coach our developers instead of gatekeeping knowledge. Most agencies build a dependency; Indeo Solutions builds our capability. Ironically, that’s exactly why we keep them on for ongoing support — we stay because we want to, not because we’re locked in.Finally, they think like business people, not just engineers. The ~45% cloud cost reduction isn’t something we’ve asked for. They’ve flagged the waste themselves and treated our budget like their own. Their recommendations always come framed in terms of cost, risk, and time to market rather than technology for its own sake.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Honestly, there’s not much they can improve on. If I had to name something, early on, their documentation was written at a fairly expert level. That’s great for our senior engineers, but our more junior developers sometimes need extra context to follow it. We’ve raised this, and they’ve adjusted by adding more onboarding-oriented guides during the enablement phase.The other minor point is that they’re a small senior team, which is mostly a strength. However, it means that during one especially busy period, we’ve had to plan larger requests a bit further in advance rather than getting an instant turnaround. It’s never been a blocker, just something to be aware of. Frankly, I’d take a small senior team over a large mixed one every time.
