What challenges were you trying to address with Ikonic IT Solutions?

We needed support for our web development, IT consulting, and staffing objectives. Our primary goals were to deliver high-quality, scalable web and application solutions for our clients, leverage Ikonic IT Solutions’ IT consulting expertise to support system modernization, integrations, and process improvements, and strengthen our delivery capacity through access to skilled technical talent. 
Additionally, we aimed to accelerate project timelines, reduce hiring and onboarding efforts, and ensure consistent access to experienced developers and IT professionals who align with our technical standards and client expectations.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Ikonic IT Solutions supported a broad scope of work across web development. On the delivery side, they contributed to the design, development, and enhancement of web and application solutions, including front-end and back-end development, integrations, testing, and deployment support. 
From an IT consulting perspective, they assisted with requirements analysis, solution design, technical assessments, and recommendations to improve system performance, scalability, and alignment with business objectives.In addition, Ikonic IT Solutions handled IT staffing support by identifying, screening, and providing qualified technical professionals to augment our project teams. 
Key deliverables included completed and enhanced web applications, technical documentation and recommendations, on-time project support resources, and a steady pipeline of skilled consultants who enabled us to meet client demands and delivery timelines efficiently.
Ikonic IT Solutions supported the development and enhancement of cloud-hosted web applications on AWS, leveraging services such as EC2, S3, RDS, and containerized deployments using Docker to ensure scalability, reliability, and environment consistency. All source code was managed through Git-based repositories, following version control best practices, code reviews, and structured branching strategies.
In addition to web platforms, Ikonic IT Solutions contributed to the development and enhancement of mobile and tablet applications, ensuring responsive design, cross-device compatibility, and seamless integration with backend APIs and cloud services.Project execution and tracking were managed through Jira, where Ikonic IT Solutions actively participated in sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews. 
User stories, tasks, and defects were regularly updated, providing clear visibility into progress, risks, and dependencies. Overall project status was consistently reported in Jira, with milestones met on schedule and deliverables progressing according to agreed timelines.

How did Ikonic IT Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?

We would describe Ikonic IT Solutions’ project management as structured, transparent, and delivery-focused. They followed Agile best practices, maintained well-organized backlogs, and used Jira effectively to track scope, progress, risks, and dependencies. Communication was consistent through regular stand-ups, sprint reviews, and status updates, which gave stakeholders clear visibility into delivery and allowed for quick decision-making.

What did you find most impressive about them?

What we found most impressive and unique about working with Ikonic IT Solutions was their ability to seamlessly combine strong technical execution with disciplined project management and flexible staffing support. They were not just a delivery vendor but a true partner who quickly understood our business context, technical standards, and client expectations.
Their team demonstrated deep hands-on expertise across web, mobile, and cloud technologies (AWS, Docker, Git) while also operating effectively within an Agile framework using Jira. Equally notable was their responsiveness and adaptability — whether ramping resources up or down, addressing changing requirements, or proactively identifying risks and improvements. 
This balance of technical depth, delivery reliability, and partnership mindset set Ikonic IT Solutions apart and made them a valuable extension of our team.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We had a very positive experience with Ikonic IT Solutions; however, the initial ramp-up could have been quicker. While the team adapted swiftly, a more structured and early knowledge transfer of our legacy systems and processes would have allowed the first few sprints to progress even more efficiently. Nonetheless, we understand that technology brings different challenges and expectations, and this was clearly communicated to us from the beginning.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be patient with the initial knowledge ramp-up. Some resources required time to fully understand legacy systems, domain-specific workflows, and existing architectural constraints. This briefly impacted early sprint velocity but stabilized within the first 1–2 sprints as documentation improved and knowledge transfer sessions were completed.Integrating new AWS-based and Dockerized components with older systems introduced unanticipated dependencies and refactoring effort. 
This required re-prioritization in Jira and minor scope adjustments but ultimately led to a more resilient and scalable architecture.
As stakeholders reviewed early increments, additional feature requests and refinements emerged. While this created some scope pressure, Agile backlog management and sprint planning allowed us to absorb changes without disrupting delivery timelines.
Working across distributed teams and time zones occasionally slowed decision-making and reviews. This was mitigated through clearer ownership, improved Jira workflows, and more structured Agile ceremonies.
