Although we’ve constantly been a top-ranked website, we wanted to make sure that we were keeping up with all of the changes that were being made to the Google algorithm. We wanted to make sure that we weren’t missing opportunities to further boost our position by avoiding platform mistakes.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Ignite Visibility does comprehensive SEO work. They do analysis, manage our SEO dashboards, and provide conversion rate optimization (CRO) for our landing pages. 

The team also provides consulting on our social media performance, does PR work for backlinks and building online relationships, and makes sure that our WordPress website is set up properly and that our images are minimized.

What is the team composition?

We have a main point of contact. There’s also a team that comes in and provides support, including PR, social media, and data analytics specialists. 

How did you come to work with Ignite Visibility?

We received a referral to a company that provided a breakdown of what they thought our opportunities were. We knew that we needed somebody to come in and implement some of those changes on our behalf because we had a small marketing team, which is why we decided to work with Ignite Visibility.

We spend $5,000 per month, which comes to about $60,000 per year.

We started working with Ignite Visibility in March 2020, and our engagement is ongoing.

Our overall traffic to our website has increased. We haven’t seen any other results yet, but it’s only been a few months. 

How did Ignite Visibility perform from a project management standpoint?

Most of our collaboration takes place over Basecamp. The team is very organized and communicative. We also have a standing weekly meeting where Ignite Visibility provides updates as well as any assignments that I need to partner with them on to make sure that the work gets done. 

I also have a standing monthly meeting with their head of account success who checks in with me independent of the team that’s doing the work to make sure that I’m satisfied and that my goals are being met. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Ignite Visibility’s ability to go in and do the work for us makes a big difference. They get onto WordPress and update plugins for me and replace them with ones that are more secure.

They also go in and make changes to the metadata on the page so that I don’t have to do that. That full suite of services is what makes them useful for a small marketing team like ours.

No, nothing comes to mind.

Make sure you have a clear set of goals that you want them to achieve so that you can decide whether the engagement is successful or not.

SEO is a notoriously slow-moving element that can change often, so we’re still evaluating the program’s overall effectiveness. We have goals to help us determine the success of the project in the long run.

Ignite Visibility is running our campaign for three of our brands. We needed to increase brand visibility and sales. We also recently launched an e-commerce space, so we needed to come up with a plan for a brand that has been in the business for 35+ years but hasn’t really been in the digital space.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We hired them for social media advertising. When we were onboarded, They did some research on our competitors and the landscape and established expectations. We needed to find new people to sell our products.

We provided them with the assets for each season and then they would develop the copy for the ads and send them back to us for approval. After that, they would determine if we were focusing on retargeting or acquisition of new customers. There was a lot of trial and error in that regard and pare down who we were targeting.

What is the team composition?

Lindsay (Paid Media Coordinator) is our main point of contact. We talk to her about almost everything, but a few other people are on calls as well. Our team has changed depending on what we needed and how happy we were with their services.

I did some research when we began looking to change agencies. They came up in a Google search, so we had a few calls. We liked their approach and their pricing structure. They were willing to work with three brands under our company, and they were flexible to make it work and spend across each brand.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We’re seeing incredible returns on our investments. Our highest converters are women selling clothes, so we aimed to acquire new stylists. Our social media channels have grown as our ads have grown.

We’ve seen tremendous growth through e-commerce. We don’t usually have sales, but because of COVID_19, we made an exception, and Lindsay and her team took off and ran with it. Our outlet business had a history of outperforming our main-line business, but now our main-line business is outpacing the outlets.

Now we’re targeting dormant clients, and Ignite Visibility has come up with a strategy to test that and drive conversions.

How did Ignite Visibility perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re good with feedback and are able to adapt. We speak to Lindsay at least once a week via phone, and she sends us weekly reports before the call. If they’re working on a campaign or news comes out, she’ll just shoot us an email. We used Basecamp when we were onboarded, but we had a lot of people working on the project, and they weren’t always on the same page. Having everything consolidated under Lindsay has worked out very well.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They respond quickly to feedback and issues. It has been great for us. Other agencies often have a difficult time pivoting or putting the right people on the account, but they’ve done a great job.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We’ve worked with a couple of different teams, and while they’ve been quick to act in response to feedback, they could use more insight. Lindsay is doing a lot of the work herself, so if there were more check-ins from the senior level, they’d be even more successful.

SurveyPlanet is a provider of online survey software for organizations and individuals to gather feedback, research, and other data. I am the Chief Technology Officer.

For what projects/services did your company hire Ignite Visibility?

SurveyPlanet needed broad reaching SEO consulting and execution highlighting our robust set of free and paid features we offer to our customers. We also needed assistance in building out a larger online presence.

What were your goals for this project?

Our goals were to expand our keyword reach as well as increase our visibility in some of our stronger performing keywords.

How did you select this vendor?

We found Ignite through a standard SEO search as they came up top of the list. We were impressed with their honest sales process, no year-long contracts, and genuine standards that they hold themselves to in delivering for their clients.

Describe the scope of their work in detail.

We worked with Jonathan Feingold who we can’t recommend enough. He treated us more as business partner than just managing our account. His creativity and ideas he brought to the table were just what we needed. We started out with weekly calls and transitioned to calls every two weeks once our campaign was well under way.

What was the team composition?

We worked primarily with Jonathan and again, highly recommend him if you have a chance to request a specific rep for your account. He had others on the team that assisted with graphics, writing, and additional SEO content.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

As you know, SEO is a long-game, and it’s never a one-time shot. That said, Ignite was able to help us build best practices, see some nice gains in keyword performance, as well as expand our keyword scope. Their steady hand of helping us create valuable content laid a great foundation for everything we needed.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Workflow was great. Project was managed through Basecamp. Jonathan and the team were always accountable and on top of current tasks they were working on.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their honesty and integrity. Their CEO even got on one of our calls to help steer us in the right direction. They are a company of substance that is backed up by the consistency of their actions.

Are there any areas for improvement?

We have a specific style to the design of our website, so we found some of the graphics designed for our posts wasn’t consistent for our brand. They were more than open to that feedback and made necessary changes both for us and future clients.

Every month, they produce different SEO content to post on our website such as blogs. They also look at different keywords to measure how we stack up on Google. Our main metrics are new users from organic traffic and keyword rankings. This year, their team assisted us with diving into web analytics.

While our main point of contact’s Jennifer (Digital Strategist), we also work with different specialists on their team.

We started working with Ignite Visibility before I started with the company.

We have a long relationship with them because they help us to grow steadily. Their team put together content for the site that we’ve used in the past and continue to use. If there are areas for us to improve, they try to help us do so.

They’ve come to Hawaii and we do bi-weekly calls with them too. Their team touches base with us to ensure that we hit our milestones and achieve our goals. When we start falling behind on our tasks, their team checks to help us move our projects forward.

Our company is a private, elective plastic surgery practice with an on-site surgical facility. We have one plastic surgeon and one anesthesiologist who are the owners of the practice.

I am the anesthesiologist, the practice administrator and VP. I am responsible for all of our marketing.

For what projects/services did your company hire Ignite Visibility?

We hired Ignite Visibility (IV) for comprehensive digital marketing including SEO, earned media, content,, social media marketing, link building, on-site and off-site optimization, blog creation/content, Adwords on Google and Bing and email marketing.

Are business is established and has enjoyed a consistent level of success in a very competitive vertical and market space. However, we are in a very large metropolitan area with increasing competition and a lot of residential turnover requiring a strong digital presence to maintain our position and foster growth.

What were your goals for this project?

Our goals were two fold. First, to find a single solution and work with an ethical company who would do our online presence no-harm but would also have the intellectual capacity and credible workforce to produce measurable improvements in a reasonable time frame.

We wanted a company who was transparent and accountable for our budget/spend and who allowed us access, control and ownership of the work product. Second, we wanted a full-court press approach. We are looking at being in our business full time for the next 10-15 years and these should be the most financially productive years.

Additionally, we need to increase the value of our business such that we have an asset with transferable value, to offer a buyer or associate as we transition from the day-to-day ownership of our business.

Given our time line, we needed a company who is on the cutting edge of digital marketing and not only knows what should be done but knows how to do it and has the man power and know-how to execute a master plan.

We needed a company who could make a big impact in a relatively short time period without harming our online presence. Our "short" time period is 1-2 years to realize significant changes in our online presence and ROI for online marketing.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

Research. Interviews. We have been thru at least 9 different SEO/digital marketing firms over the past 14 years.

The problems we encountered were:

  • firms who knew what to do but didn't know how to do it and/or didn't have the man power to execute what needed to be done.
  • firms who didn't know what they didn't know and caused our site harm by participating in practices that achieved short term results at the expense of hurting our long term on line presence.
  • firms who excelled at marketing themselves but had no genuine interest or ability in marketing their clients--their only goal was to sign up monthly subscribers locked in to contracts
  • firms who tried to hold clients hostage with fear tactics by withholding ownership or access to the website, analytics, adwords history or the site itself
  • firms who provided boiler plate, cookie-cutter web platforms that did no harm, were reasonable in price but were not capable of competing in a competitve market or vertical.

I did a lot of research on line, used sites like Clutch and depended on their reviews and read comments from owners like myself, spent time talking with and reviewing proposals from potential digital marketing firms.

Ignite stood out from the others by a long mile--they actually listened to what I needed, did a ton of real, meaningful research into my site, addressed the problems specific to our website and market in the digital space and produced a master plan with options to address what we wanted to achieve.

They spent a lot of time going thru the proposal and gave me options of how to get where I wanted to go with sensitivity to my budget. However, I really appreciated that they were honest about what was needed to achieve what I wanted with a timeframe and realistic budgets associated together.

They didn't sell me to a number they thought they could get me "signed up for"--they told me what I wanted to know and let me make the decision regarding the budget, time frame and scope of work I was comfortable pursuing.

Describe the scope of their work in detail.

Ignite provides comprehensive digital marketing with the exception of video asset creation/promotion.  They create and optimize new content for our website, they created a blog and provide ongoing content for the blog, they provide analysis and updates on an ongoing basis for on and off site optimization of our website in order to keep the site up to date with Google's best practices. 

They utilize A/B testing and CRO analysis to make updates and changes to the site with particular attention to the mobile user experience. They create meaningful content in order to garner high quality, high value links to our site. 

They also create and optimize digital PR in the form of guest blog posts, infographics and press releases.  Additionally, they seek out key influencers as part of digital PR. 

They also provide service for the creation, optimization and managment of paid media campaigns on Google, Bing and Facebook.  They create content and manage our social media on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. 

They provide creation and management of ongoing email campaigns to foster new leads and maintain relationships with our current client base.

What was the team composition?

I have a head/team manager SEO poc, a content team poc, an email poc, paid adwords poc, social media poc and at times an out source contant brought in when we need to address development or site issues.

We meet weekly in addition to communicating via email and Basecamp. I find them to be very responsive and the most organized, professional company in this space I have ever worked with.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Our organic traffic has increased 100% over what it was in the prior 6 months.  Additionally, our conversion rate and quality of new leads has greatly improved.  This has translated to a 62% increase in qualified new leads attributable to Ignite's management of our digital marketing. 

The increase in traffic and leads has directly impacted our profit in a positive manner.  We have experienced the most profitable 3rd and 4th quarter in 15 years and the first quarter of 2020 has already exceeded our best first quarter ever by 18%. 

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We have been working together for a few months and anyone who transitions to a new company understands that the transition is just like moving into a new office or house.

It is a process that requires good communication, a plan and involves clean up as well as handling some bumps in the road and managing unexpected hiccoughs. I have found the transition to be the best I have ever experienced.

In the past I have signed on to work with a company that I selected after much due diligence and excitement only to begin to have buyer's remorse, misgivings and disappointments from the beginning of the transition.

This was NOT the case with Ignite. Instead, the transition process has affirmed my decision and I have been relieved and delighted not only at the process but it is only time when I have moved to work with a new company for digital marketing that my SEO/digital marketing has actually shown siginificant improvement in rankings and ROI within the first 90 days rather than showing a loss of traffic or rankings or ROI.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The people. Highly focused, organized, capable and professinal. Ignite Visibility has a master plan and big picture that drives the daily details of work. They plan, measure, adjust and communicate.

They do what they say they are going to do and they have developed a strategic approach to digitial marketing based on the cutting edge of the digital marketing space and what they know is both ethical and will produce results.

The don't approach the process by trial and error but rather equipped with a plan based on current, best and proven practices that are employed strategically, measured and adjusted for maximum benefit. They never rest. Always with an eye toward improvement.

The digital marketing world is a living, constantly involving space and your digital footprint through your website, mobile site, social media, email and paid ads is never "finished".

There are always improvements to be made and they are always aware of that and planning for the next phase. Assuring that their clients results will be sustained and grow because they don't rest on their laurels.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Currently, they partner with some others for development and site creation. It would be great if they added that in house as their approach and culture paired with that element would be a great addition to their direct services.
