I’m the VP of Business Operations at LMT Technology Solutions. We provide Managed IT services, Cloud Computing, Cybersecurity, and Systems Integration Services to help businesses optimize technology, enhance security, and drive growth. 

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with HR Works?

To strengthen our internal HR department, we engaged with HR Works to supply senior-level expertise on compliance, employment law changes, and sensitive employee issues. This partnership has ensured our team is supported and our organization remains protected from potential legal exposure.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We hold monthly strategic calls with our HR advisor to stay current on HR trends, review ACA compliance in Paylocity, and plan proactive initiatives. Our Employee Handbook is reviewed and updated annually to ensure we remain compliant and protected. Additionally, HR Works has provided leadership training and delivers expert guidance on sensitive employee matters, including write-ups, PIPs, and terminations.

How did you come to work with HR Works?

HR Works has a great reputation in the Rochester community, it was an easy choice based on a referral. 

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent less than $10,000 in the 4 months we've been working together. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in July 2025, and the engagement is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

HR Works has updated our employee handbook, and I’m comfortable knowing we’re adhering to state laws and following HR best practices. We’ve had less guessing and more knowing what the next steps should be.

How did HR Works perform from a project management standpoint?

The team delivers on time. We communicate through virtual meetings.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Our HR strategic partner is fantastic. She offers insightful guidance, and our monthly calls are always productive and impactful.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No.
