Please describe your company and your position there.

I am the Chief Executive of a social enterprise, working to promote the use of the Welsh language, community regeneration and economic development. We work mainly on a community level, based in west Wales.

For what projects/services did your company hire Highly, and what were your goals?

Our organisation needed a total rebrand and Highly were hired to deliver this, including strategic research, planning, and the delivery of new brand and logo, including supporting materials and brand guidelines. Furthermore, we established a new community centre which Highly was responsible for the interior design and branding.

How did you select this vendor?

We went through our internal procurement process and appointed Highly based mainly on their expertise and past experience of delivering similar projects.

To start they carried out a desktop review of our services and brand, after which they conducted a brand strategy workshop with senior management in order to establish our full requirements and goals. They then proceeded to produce a brand strategy and persona which then led to a new brand proposal, containing 3 main proposals.

These were presented to our Management Boars and a new brand and logo was agreed on. Supporting materials and brand guidelines were then produced and the new brand and logo launched to the public. It was well received and had very positive feedback. The interior design was the second stage and followed the same process with the same positive outcomes.

3 people from the vendor’s team worked with us, namely the Director, Interior Design Consultant and Marketing Consultant.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We’ve had very positive feedback from our customers and new potential clients, thus increasing engagement with our target audience.

Project management style has been good and relaxed, but with clear objectives and goals. An online project management and communication platform was used to share files, ideas, questions and timescales, and communicating over the phone was always an option also.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their commitment to basing any decisions on our requirements and aspirations by getting to know us well from the outset. They were great at coming up with new designs and ideas, but also willing to listen and respond accordingly to our needs.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Due to various elements, mainly out of both party’s control, e.g. the Covid-19 outbreak, lead time for delivery, etc, the timelines changed a few times on the second phase of the work (interior design), but we managed to overcome this to achieve a very high standard project.

On the face of it, the project and brief were simple, find a name we liked! Highly worked hard to come up with a selection of names for us to choose from, all of which had been checked for clashes, availability and so on.

All work was carried out efficiently and on time, we've always found naming our businesses to be one of the most difficult things to do, so having help with this meant we were free to do other tasks.

Their friendly and knowledgeable approach to branding was very reassuring, we also love that Highly were offering group branding training workshops which helped us to better understand the branding process.
