BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

I am a project manager at Retex company in Vietnam. Our company provides real-time production management solutions to textile enterprises to enable them to manage on a remote basis, save costs, improve productivity, reduce the workload of management tasks, and ensure transparency in the process.

For what projects/services did your company hire Hekate?

Hekate helps us to create an IoT system that allows us to provide professional management solutions to textile companies.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Hekate is one of the leading technology companies in Vietnam. The deciding factor that made me go with Hekate was when I approached them, they gave me useful advice based on my ambiguous requirements and a detailed and reasonable quotation which even identified what I did not need to cover to reduce costs.

Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.

They created a management system that allows managers to create and manage orders, update instant production progress, manage raw materials, and do reporting tasks through a decentralized system. The solution is available for Android, Ios, and Web which is convenient.

There are certain stages in the project namely idea formation, idea analysis, alternatives to implement ideas, UX&UI design, Coding, Testing, Bugs fixing if any, Final reviews, solution launching, and post-launch monitoring.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

I held weekly meetings with a business manager and the head of the developer team. There were also some Ios and Android developers, and full-stack developers working behind the scenes. When the project came to an end, I received immediate support and assistance from the customer support team for any issues.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We are in partnership with 5 enterprises to help them manage and monitor 2000 employees. The Retex app is responsive and also highly appreciated by the employees thanks to the friendly user interface. The app is available on both Android and Ios phones. Sometimes, when there are new customers that desire to have more updated features coming to us, we always come back to Hekate to upgrade our system.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

During the process, we had weekly video calls with the business manager and developer team to make sure everything was on track. Additionally, we had a monthly face-to-face meeting to review what they had done and have Q&A section. Hekate met the deadlines most of the time. However, if there were any delays in the process, they always informed me in advance and explained the reasons clearly.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I am impressed by the young, energetic, and enthusiastic atmosphere at Hekate. Hekate’s team was young but top experts in the industry. Most impressively, their products are high-quality but at a reasonable price.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

For the moment, Hekate met all the requirements that I listed. They finished the project on time and incurred no overruns.
