Helbling Digital Media (HDM) is a web design, development, SEO and AI growth agency based in Springboro, Ohio, between Cincinnati and Dayton. John Helbling founded HDM in 2006, and 2026 marks the firm's 20th year.
We build the parts of a business's online presence that have to work together: fast, search-ready websites, e-commerce stores on Shopify and WooCommerce, and custom web apps and client portals. Then we help those sites get found through technical and local SEO, Google Business Profile work and AI search visibility, so a business is described accurately in Google, Maps and AI tools like ChatGPT and Perplexity. We start every visibility project with a dated baseline and report changes honestly. We don't promise rankings.
We also set up practical AI: chatbots and workflow automation that save small and mid-size teams real time. And we protect what we build, with website security that blocks bad bots and protects forms while keeping Google and AI search crawlers allowed.
Most of our clients are small and mid-size businesses in Greater Cincinnati, the Dayton area and the towns between. We also work as a white-label partner for agencies.
