Scope of Work

The project focused on IT system consolidation and infrastructure optimization, with an emphasis on assessing the existing technology environment, identifying improvement opportunities, and integrating fleet-related data.

The scope included:

IT System Consolidation: Review and consolidation of existing IT systems, applications, and platforms to reduce duplication, improve efficiency, and support a more streamlined technology environment.

IT Infrastructure Assessment: Evaluation of existing IT infrastructure, including systems, networks, hardware, and technology dependencies, to identify gaps, risks, and opportunities for improvement.

SWOT Analysis: Conducted a Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats (SWOT) analysis to assess the current-state IT environment and support strategic decision-making.

Fleet Data Integration & Validation: Integrated fleet data from multiple sources and performed data validation to improve data accuracy, consistency, completeness, and usability.

Streamlined operations across multiple business units, reduced system redundancies, and improved overall system performance and data visibility, with a smooth technical handover to our  internal IS team at engagement close.

Deliverables were completed within the agreed timelines, and the team was responsive to project requirements and emerging needs. They communicated effectively when clarification was required and were willing to adjust priorities and approach based on feedback. Overall, their project management was collaborative and responsive, with a strong focus on meeting the agreed scope, timelines, and quality expectations.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Haylar Technologies Inc.'s ability to bridge the gap between business strategy and technical execution was impressive. He combined hands-on expertise in IT infrastructure and system integration with a strong understanding of organizational objectives, enabling him to turn complex business requirements into practical, scalable technology solutions.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Haylar Technologies Inc. could have done differently?

There were no significant concerns with Haylar Technologies’ performance during the engagement. The team was responsive, collaborative, and effective in addressing the project requirements.

If anything, the main opportunity for improvement would be to further formalize project documentation, milestones, and knowledge-transfer processes at the outset of an engagement. Given the broad and strategic nature of the work, having even more structured documentation and checkpoints could make it easier for stakeholders to track progress and maintain alignment across multiple business areas.

That said, these are relatively minor observations and did not materially affect the quality or timeliness of the work. Haylar was responsive to our needs and adapted well as requirements evolved.
