Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the director of marketing and communications at Evangel University. We’re a Christian university in Springfield, Missouri.

What challenge were you trying to address with Hampton Creative?

We needed to implement a new website.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Hampton Creative has done two major projects for us: a website and a mascot. We first contacted them in 2018 to build a brand new website. When we met them, they grasped our mission, vision, and what they needed to highlight about our educational programs. Then, they put together a really comprehensive WordPress site. It was user and SEO-friendly, and we continue to use it today.

This year, they’ve helped us create a new university mascot as a graphic design firm, including all of its accompanying logos and mockups.

What is the team composition?

One of our university representatives is the main point of contact with Hampton Creative. We work with the owner and their team of experts for various project points, including web design, page layout and formatting, and SEO opportunities.

How did you come to work with Hampton Creative?

We heard of them through someone in our leadership team who’d worked with Hampton Creative on previous projects on another Christian university. They’d worked with Christian higher education organizations and done a good job, so we looked at their work and agreed that it was top-notch.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began our partnership in January 2018, and we’re still working with them. They built our website between 2018–2019,  and we were so pleased with their work and professionalism, we selected them again to design our university mascot.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

When we implemented the university website, we had a significant increase in website traffic. We also achieved a higher ranking in the Google search results thanks to their assistance and focus on SEO, which really helped us to recruit more students.

How did Hampton Creative perform from a project management standpoint?

They’ve done very well. Hampton Creative has been incredibly organized, and they have a great, streamlined process. We had new faces coming on board, and we could still execute everything on time during that transition process thanks to the way they’d lined up the project.

We use Asana, and we communicate through emails and phone calls.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their graphic design capabilities are second to none. Even though they’re a small company, they’re very mighty in what they do. Moreover, the design element was a big factor for us. We wanted something that looked aesthetically pleasing besides performing well on the backend, and they far exceeded our expectations.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t think so.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Get in early because they’re quickly becoming well-known for their great expertise. Also, I’d expect personal touch-points even from the owner. He’s really involved in the company’s workings to ensure excellence in everything they do, and we really appreciate that personal touch.
