What challenge were you trying to address with Green Grapez?

We engaged Green Grapez to build our webpage and get our functions such as messaging and accounting under one roof.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Initially, we wanted to rebuild our website and use our own server, but Green Grapez advised us that it would make more sense to build a site from scratch. We started by providing a brief description of our company and background regarding the petroleum industry. We also shared our ideas for how we wanted the website to look and function. 

Then, the team used the latest technology to build our website from scratch and integrated it with our accounting software. The website’s main function was to digitize the payment process for our regular clients, so they could avoid carrying cash. After launching the site, Green Grapez also offered us maintenance and hosting services. 

In the future, we plan to work with them on creating a prepaid card for our regular customers. Our goal is for customers to use the card to purchase petrol from us in bulk.

We primarily worked with the CEO of Green Grapez. 

How did you come to work with Green Grapez? 

I found Green Grapez through a reference from a friend, who spoke highly of them. We researched their website and LinkedIn and were impressed with the quality of their website, so we moved forward.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our partnership started in March 2021, and they completed the website in May 2022.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Green Grapez has delivered everything we asked for. Since working with them, our company operations have become more organized and streamlined. They’ve lowered our costs and made my job significantly easier. Before, I had to physically travel to every petrol station to collect the accounting records, combine them, and input them into a computer. The original process took roughly five days per month; now, it takes me five minutes. Furthermore, they’ve made it easier for us to collect customer feedback, which has helped us better understand our clients.

How did Green Grapez perform from a project management standpoint?

Green Grapez completed tasks right on schedule, and whenever we faced delays, they were on my end. I had a busy schedule and there were times when they had to wait on my approval to move forward. The COVID-19 pandemic also presented challenges for the project, but they did their best to accommodate our needs, and I don’t fault them for anything. 

The CEO helped us a lot; they looked out for our best interests and were very supportive. We communicated via phone, WhatsApp, and Zoom. Additionally, when we couldn’t find time to meet, I emailed them screen recordings to show what we needed help with. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Green Grapez was a very professional, dedicated partner. Instead of just delivering the project according to our requirements, they also made the effort to teach our employees how to use the new website.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I have nothing Green Grapez could improve on.

I’m the CEO of Supply Bridges, a restaurant supplier.

What challenge were you trying to address with Green Grapez?

We wanted to build our online store. We were also building a lot of internal apps we were going to connect to the website, the warehouse, sales team, and the delivery team — we wanted everything to be integrated.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They provided us with their web design and development services. The website is the face of our company as well as our e-commerce site, and they built it from scratch. They mostly used Laravel and PHP and they also provided us with web app development, with a focus on UI/UX development. We wanted to build mobile apps, but decided not to because of budget constraints.

I supplied the documentations and a lot of the design ideas. The whole process was well documented, as they also provided us with the contracts. Apart from that, they also help us with web hosting and SSL certificates — I already had a domain name but they helped me with picking out the right hosting package and setting it up.

They offered SEO services, but I didn’t take them. We were well into the pandemic, so I slowed it down because of budget constraints.

They’ve already delivered the main part of the project, and the whole thing ended in December 2019. They’re currently providing us with occasional support whenever something goes down.

What is the team composition?

There are multiple people in the project, and I was dealing with the founder himself. He also had one person in sales who looked at top-level issues. In addition, I was also dealing with their backend team of 2–3 people, and when it came to the frontend, I was only dealing with one person.

For the apps, I was dealing with another person so overall, I was in contact with 5–6 people.

How did you come to work with Green Grapez?

When I started my business, the founder of Green Grapez and I were in a coworking office — after that, we stayed in touch. Our initial website was built on Shopify, but we also wanted to build all these internal apps, connect the warehouse team with the sales team, and also have everything connected with the accounting software. 

I was sharing my ideas with him and he recommended we should work together — he gave me a very good proposal, so we went ahead with it.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent $4,000–$5,000 USD. I don’t pay anything for support since it’s all included.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in April 2018, and our partnership is still ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I enjoyed working with them and I learned a lot of things. They definitely helped us big time, and the apps they created completely changed the way that we work — we only had one workflow before the development of the apps and website started.

The entire purpose of developing these apps was so we could get to a better workflow and start following best practices — after we developed the apps, the difference was night and day. I wouldn’t change what I did with them, because everything was very good and my experience with them has been excellent.

How did Green Grapez perform from a project management standpoint?

They have a good system. They gave me access to their platform where I could go in and put in all of my requirements. Once I put in the requirements, one member of the team would go and update the timeline and when the deadlines would be met. I had one person who was constantly giving me updates and they were very good at meeting deadlines. 

If there were any issues, they were very responsive and quick to take action. The founder was very responsive and my relationship and communication with them were very good. They’d quickly answer questions over email, phone, and WhatsApp.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I enjoyed working with them because I’ve worked at similar companies before that were larger — I was always afraid if my project would be given the same level of importance. Working with Green Grapez, I always felt that I had the most important project. 

They were always very quick, even though I knew they had a lot of projects — they were very good at time management and making you feel important.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Some of their developers weren’t very good at communication. I wanted to be in direct communication with the person who was working on a particular element of the project, but sometimes it was hard explaining to them, or understand what they were saying. However, I was still very happy with their performance.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

First, know what you want. Once you start working with them, you can get anything done. If the customer doesn’t know exactly what they want, it’s very easy to get confused.

What challenge were you trying to address with Green Grapez?

We hired Green Grapez to develop a website, create a tax rebate calculator, and provide training for our staff on how to use these tools.

What was the scope of their involvement?

The website was built on WordPress. The design was supplied by another firm based in Pakistan. 

What is the team composition?

I mainly worked with Ibrahim (Founder) who assigned 3–4 guys on the project. One of them oversaw the design.

How did you come to work with Green Grapez?

I asked a friend if he knew anyone back home who could help me develop a website and he introduced me to Ibrahim. That's how I got to know about Green Grapez.

How much have you invested with them?

I hired quite a few developers from different companies across India, Pakistan, and the UK, so the entire project cost me nearly £5,000 (approximately $6,800 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

The collaboration started in April 2020 and Green Grapez was done by June 2020.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’re quite satisfied with the general development of the website and the features that Green Grapez provided, but we’ve had to hire another developer to pick up after the work because the resolution of the idea was not what we had in mind. Though they had done an excellent job, we felt that something was missing so we got somebody else to do the design work. 

Despite that, Green Grapez did what was meant to be done. They're quite good, to be honest, and I would rate them highly on any scale. They were able to develop our calculator in a way that makes it run smoothly.

How did Green Grapez perform from a project management standpoint?

I think that they did an excellent job. We communicated directly with Ibrahim via WhatsApp when there was an issue. We also created a group chat with his team so that I would be able to reach them directly if there were problems. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their good communication was the most impressive part of working with them. They’re also great at resolving issues. A developer we had hired prior to Green Grapez was unable to integrate the SSL certificate to the website, which was creating an issue for us. Green Grapez was able to fix it right away when I hired them.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, there’s nothing they could’ve improved on.

Green Grapez is quite good. Work with them because they do an excellent job.
