Grafedia Web Design built a new website for the independent owner of a daycare business. They built the site to feature contact information prominently and performed SEO to improve search ranking.

Due to the redesign and new SEO efforts, traffic to the site has increased, boosting incoming leads by over 400%. The Grafedia Web Design team was incredibly personable and easy to work with, making the process iterative in order to incorporate as much client feedback as possible.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.

I’m the owner of a child daycare.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Grafedia Web Design?

The goal of the project was to encourage new customers and clients by improving our company’s digital presence.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

My previous website was just one that I had made online, and I wanted to transition to something that would take advantage of SEO to show up higher on search results.

The goal was to develop a fresher look to the website that would be appealing to the eye but also relevant to daycare. I also wanted it to include proper links to my email and other contact info and provide more detailed descriptions of the services I offer.

How did you come to work with Grafedia Web Design?

Originally, I heard about them through Facebook, and they seemed like they knew what they were doing when I contacted them, so I decided to give them a try.

How much have you invested with them?

The cost was $1,000 for the website and then $100 per month for the six months of SEO work they did after, so about $1,600 in total.

What is the status of this engagement?

All in all, the process lasted from about May–July 2018.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The website was absolutely beautifully done. I couldn’t be more pleased with it, because it’s exactly what I was looking for in the beginning. Within six weeks or so, I started to gain a lot of interest from potential customers.

Submissions are coming through on a weekly basis if not more, when in the past I had gotten closer to 1–2 a month. That has helped to boost my business significantly, to the point where I now have a waiting list of customers I have to get to.

How did Grafedia Web Design perform from a project management standpoint?

My point of contact at Grafedia Web Design was always available to speak to me when I needed through phone and email, and he made the project very easy to work on as a whole. Feedback was always welcome, which helped ensure that I was totally satisfied with the product we came to in the end.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I think the aspect that’s most noteworthy is their personal approach. I never felt like they were just trying to get money from me, but that they were clearly invested in helping me build my business. The whole process was entirely seamless.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There’s nothing negative I could say about them at all.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Discuss in person what you’re looking for because it’s much more effective at establishing initial requirements than you can get over email. I would also recommend that anyone working with them on a website do SEO as well because I was really impressed by the immediate benefits that was able to provide.
