Mimar is a natural skincare brand based in Toronto. I own the brand and run the day to day operations, brand growth and manufacturing of the products.
 

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What business challenge were you trying to address with the vendor?

We wanted to rebrand the name, packaging, marketing, market positioning. We went through multiple exercises to understand how we wanted to position our brand in the current North American market, wanted a new modern minimalist look and feel For our logo, name, packaging, marketing and to develop a brand identity.

We wanted a new website to reflect the above, help with types of content to produce on social media, help price our products. 
We were thoroughly pleased with the outcome and that all our goals were met.
 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement? 

We interviewed a few Canadian-based agencies and a few in the US. We selected this vendor due to our alignment for our brands vision.

The vendor always communicated clearly and promptly, demonstrated extensive knowledge in this field and did not shy from telling us when we were not headed in a direction that wasn’t aligned with our goals. They went the extra mile to ensure our vision was understood. Helped us understand where we need to head as a brand with the help of presentations, and charts that were a result of intense brand analysis, analyzing competitor brands and market analysis.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

As a result of the exercises , data gathering and analysis that was conducted by the team, we were able to successfully rebrand end to end.

How did the vendor perform from a project management standpoint?

They are very hands on and made sure that they took me along the process every step of the way so as to avoid re-work and misunderstandings. This ensures all timelines were met and no deliverables had to be pushed back.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their creative team brings forth the most unique ideas, and their communication style makes them stand out from other agencies.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Because we communicated so openly ,any feedback given was taken and improved.
