The myEYC app is a pan-European digital solution developed for EYCA to provide mobile access to the European Youth Card (EYC) and promote youth mobility, inclusion, and active participation. 
The scope of work delivered by GoldBear Technologies encompasses technical development, content integration, user engagement, and ongoing support. It targets both young cardholders and partner organisations.
Key Deliverables

• Fully operational mobile application (iOS & Android) with EYC digital card and discount access.
• Multilingual interface covering 35 languages to ensure inclusivity.
• Integrated discount platform with updated tagging, filters, and cross-border relevance.
• Monthly user analytics reports on downloads, card activations, and engagement.
• Documentation and support materials for partner organisations.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The myEYC project achieved several measurable outcomes that clearly demonstrate its impact on improving access to the European Youth Card (EYC), and advancing EYCA’s digital and inclusion goals.

• +130.000 accounts created on the myEYC app on iOS and Android across 30+ countries.
• 20,000+ active discounts integrated into the app from national EYCA member organisations.
• App translated into 35 languages, including all EU official languages
• Good results in terms of engagement through push notifications
• 20 national EYCA member organisations adopted the app in parallel with their existing systems, boosting cross-border visibility of the card.
• Real-time synchronisation with the EYCA's database successfully implemented.
• Positive feedback from several partner organisations

The team at GoldBear Technologies were a pleasure to work with. They managed the project really well, kept everything on track, and delivered what they promised on time. 
Communication was clear and consistent, and they were always quick to respond whenever we had questions or needed to make changes. 
They were flexible, easy to talk to, and genuinely committed to finding the best solutions for our needs. Overall, they made the whole process smooth, stress-free, and easy to collaborate with.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

In our case one of the most relevant aspects was knowledge of our organisation due to working with one of our partner organisations at the national level. 
The quality of their previous products was great and that was one of the main factors in the decision to cooperate with GoldBear Tech.

Are there any areas for improvement or something GoldBear Technologies could have done differently?

While our experience with GoldBear Technologies was overwhelmingly positive, there are a couple of areas where there’s room for improvement. At times, we would have appreciated a bit more anticipation of potential challenges or suggestions for alternative approaches earlier in the process, however, in the software development world, some things are unpredictable and we are aware of these things.
That said, these were relatively minor points in an otherwise smooth and well-managed collaboration.

Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.

We included the team from the very beginning, from the idea. They helped us to do the market analysis and determine the primary scope. Scope just grew as we did sales. The scope included: brand book and UX/UI, platform development, mobile application development, testing, complete API integration, payment processor Paddle and Stripe [full integration], the platform works with multiple rights and multiple modules, website development with integration with the platform [onboarding], multilanguage, multicurrency, and multitimezone systems were also developed. We also do technical maintenance with the team. The platform also has CI/CD with AWS servers and all monitoring tools as well as heat maps are included. GoldBear also did the sales part as well as digital marketing [writing content on the site], SEO.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Easy alignment of goals and clear expectations set by the GoldBear team, transparently defined how they can help us and what we can expect, in realistic terms. Delivery was according to plan and the quality of functionality is at the highest level - we have almost 0% churn rate from clients. The platform's uptime is 100%, we have no downtime and revenue is only growing. We got everything that was agreed upon and within the agreed deadlines.

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

GoldBear's management team has extensive experience in software development for large corporations and various SaaS solutions, and with that experience they easily told us [who are not technically savvy] what and how we need it and when it can be. They clearly explained the technical advantages and disadvantages of each approach and it was easy for us to make decisions. We had access to the Jira software, we knew who was doing what, they simply took over Delivery from us, where we could transparently see who was doing what and when. We were dealing with Product Management and they were dealing with Delivery Management and everything is going smoothly.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Culture - growth mindset, everyone is directed in the same direction, when we work with them it's like working with one organism. They do quality work as if they were working for themselves, everything they do - they do it the best they can. They do their best to satisfy the client, and they do this by setting clear expectations. They always do overdelivery, it's just like a new year every time, we know we'll get some bonus, we're just waiting to see what [which feature or upgrade].

Are there any areas for improvement or something GoldBear Technologies could have done differently?

This is our first time doing something big so we don't have much experience [with software companies] to suggest improvements. They simply did a perfect job, as if they were our in-house team.
