I’m the founder of a recruitment software firm.

What challenge were you trying to address with GoFox?

We needed someone to provide our software with UI/UX design.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

The process would start with us coding the entire backend of the app and once that’s done, we’d contact GoFox and discuss the scope of and functionalities so they can help us come up with the best solutions for UX.

They’ll then take everything and come back to us with some design iterations and further refine the original design. After that, they’d go work on the official design once more and we’d have another round of feedback until we have the final product.

What is the team composition?

I mainly work with an account manager.

How did you come to work with GoFox?

We posted our first project on Upwork where we garnered around 100 applicants in just two days. We ended up interviewing 20 of them, including GoFox, and eventually picked them based on their portfolio.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve roughly spent around $7,500 at this point.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our ongoing partnership started in June 2020.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’ve implemented over 80 screens that they’ve designed into our app and the feedback for them has been overwhelmingly positive.

How did GoFox perform from a project management standpoint?

They deliver high-quality products on time and that’s the part that I’ve thoroughly enjoyed throughout our partnership — they’re very communicative, proficient, and punctual when it comes to timeliness.

What did you find most impressive about them?

What sets them apart from other developers is I feel like they actually care about our success. They always reach out to us and ask if there’s anything they can help with, and follow up on the progress of each task consistently.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I’m being exceptionally picky, but it’s quite difficult working with someone from a different timezone so our business hours would overlap. I don’t know what they can do about it, but it’s something that we’ve learned to work with.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I advise you to trust in their abilities and always be clear with what you want while giving them the autonomy to produce something using their creativity. If you provide them with that creative flexibility, they can take your requirements to a higher level.

What challenge were you trying to address with GoFox?

We needed help with the UX design of the platform we’re building.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

GoFox did our web app platform's UI/UX design for desktop and mobile platforms. To jumpstart the project, we provided them with a briefing for the initial version we wanted to build. After that, they started with wireframing and creating sketches of what the UI could look like, and step by step, they translated that into full-blown UX designs.

Also, when we have a couple of features we want to develop, we give them a description, create the wireframes, and then the UI designs. Consequently, their developers start to implement that and take care of the further tweaks. They’ve also designed visual identities like logos, social banners, and images.

What is the team composition?

We've been in contact with the company's owner.

How did you come to work with GoFox?

I requested a proposal from several companies on Upwork. I selected GoFox because the communication was nice and quick. Also, they were very responsive to my questions, and I liked their portfolio.

How much have you invested with them?

We've spent €11,000 (approximately $12,000 USD) with them so far.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in April 2021, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I’m very happy with their work's quality; it took a while to adjust to each other, but I've been pleased with their responsiveness and speed, so I have nothing to complain about. Overall, our target groups have received the designs well, and everybody says the UI looks solid and user-friendly.

How did GoFox perform from a project management standpoint?

Since the communication and the iterations were so short, we had such a tight collaboration where I'd post a new brief with a few feature requests, and then it would be designed 1–2 days later. They'd also do a few small tweaks according to my demands — they fully lived up to what I had hoped.

In general, we have a very close collaboration together.

Regarding tools, we are using Asana and Figma.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They deliver quality work quickly.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could have earlier conversations when things aren’t entirely clear — they should check more often to make sure what they understand is what I have in mind.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Clearly describe what you have in mind. Also, working with them in small steps functions best; don’t write a massive document for a huge version 1.0 but describe individual features and explain how they should work.

Their unique sense of design and listening to customers' needs were outstanding.
