What challenge were you trying to address with G360Technologies?

We needed support in the design and development of our cloud-based platform using edge computing in the field. We wanted to extend and scale our platform by focusing on analytics, machine learning, and UI.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

G360Technologies is part of our design and development team, and we work with them on an ongoing basis. Our industrial information platform combines a web app interfacing with field computers and wireless data from the field. We establish a specification first and develop against that specification. 

G360Technologies works in a combined PHP and Python environment. We also work with a Microsoft Azure operating environment, SQL databases, virtual machine technology, and an IoT hub for pulling in data in the field. G360Technologies also supports processing our industrial platform's analytics and conducting numerical analysis.

We review the app within design since we keep a design version in a separate virtual machine from the production version. We have a routine of reviewing the design machine, and once it's approved, we push it to production.
What is the team composition?

We mainly work with two developers and a project manager. Sometimes, we have to pull in hardware and cybersecurity professionals.

How did you come to work with G360Technologies?

I had previous experience working with Gary (CEO).

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in January 2024 and have an annual agreement that we'll renew every year.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The productivity efficiency of developing our platform has improved significantly. Without G360Technologies, the project would've taken us twice as long. We have such a good and close working relationship with the team. G360Technologies has assigned a team with whom we've worked consistently, and I appreciate it because we've built a productive relationship.

How did G360Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?

G360Technologies always stays on schedule against our specifications. The team is very disciplined and delivers work on time, around 95% of the time, which is a good rate for software development projects. Sometimes, we've changed the specs, and the issues we discuss in advance redefine the specs and the schedule. We have a good working relationship with them, and G360Technologies stays on budget.

We primarily collaborate using Microsoft Word and Microsoft PowerPoint documents and communicate through weekly scheduled Zoom meetings and can add meetings if needed. 
Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?

One of our developers has done a great job, and we look forward to continuing to work with him.

What did you find most impressive about them?

G360Technologies' communication and project management skills are their biggest strengths. We're working on more advanced Python programming for analytics, and the team is doing well. G360Technologies is willing to take on challenges, which is very good.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don't see anything G360Technologies can improve.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

I suggest new clients take advantage of getting to know the dedicated team assigned to them. The team stays together, and by building a close relationship, you can become very productive in your projects. I recommend setting weekly meetings, if not more frequent, which should lead your project to success.

I'm the director of IT at a third-party logistics provider that specializes in refrigerated warehousing and transportation of goods. We have three facilities in the San Francisco Bay Area: one in Oakland, one in Richmond, and one in the Port of Oakland. We do imports and exports aside from distribution.

What challenge were you trying to address with G360Technologies?

Our previous environment was Microsoft SQL Server Standard Edition 2016, and we recently purchased Microsoft SQL Server Enterprise Edition because we wanted to add high availability capabilities to our deployment. With this came the challenge of upgrading from the Microsoft SQL Server Standard Edition to the Enterprise Edition and deploying our databases. We didn't have the required in-hosue expertise to tackle this challenge and went to G360Technologies to help us with implementation.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

When we started working with G360Technologies, we gave the team access to our environment. The team offers remote services and has run assessment tools. Based on the team's findings, we set the design parameters and designed the environment where we are staging the upgrade. G360Technologies is migrating all of our applications and configuring them to work in the user acceptance testing (UAT) environment, which is the phase we are in at the moment. 

We're close to starting the user acceptance testing of the staging environment, and if it works, G360Technologies will perform the cut out to production. This project involves multiple vendors, and we're waiting for another vendor to deliver their part so we can proceed with user acceptance testing. 

What is the team composition?

I work directly with four teammates from G360Technologies, including Andrés (VP of South America). 

How did you come to work with G360Technologies?

I found G360Technologies through a third party. We had been searching for a partner for this project for some time, and a colleague recommended the team to us. We started talking, set up parameters, and then engaged with the team. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with G360Technologies in March 2024, and our engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We're using Microsoft SQL Server 2022, which is relatively new. We're also using a contained viability group, which is a new function of Microsoft SQL Server 2022 and also new to G360Technologies. We've had challenges throughout the project that G360Technologies has had to troubleshoot. The team has been fully engaged and has overcome all presented obstacles. I only have good things to say about G360Technologies' work. 

Once the new environment is implemented, we expect to see an increase in availability and flexibility regarding system uptime. We'll have a cluster system where we can perform updates while maintaining the system online. For us, updating the system without downtime is critical. 

How did G360Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?

G360Technologies has delivered work on time and is responsive via phone and email. We have weekly meetings through Microsoft Teams to go over the project plan, deliverables, and pending tasks. The team is exceptionally professional and well-prepared.

I want to highlight the work of the four teammates I've worked with.

What did you find most impressive about them?

G360Technologies is super professional and invested in obtaining a good result, which has left a great impression on me and my team. I love working with G360Technologies because they know what they're doing, take on a challenge, and deliver. I'm also impressed by their attitude. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can't think of anything for G360Technologies to improve. 

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

G360Technologies is a professional team, and my team is, too. We arrived with a set of parameters and expectations ready for the team to do their job. I suggest being prepared when working with G360Technologies because they mean business.

SharePoint/Teams Portal - Replaced a complex Drupal site into SharePoint allowing them to retire the expensive Drupal site. - Sentiment Analysis Tool: Developed the web project for a large Fortune 50 company and demonstrated great teamwork with the other development team members.

There are several projects that we have and are working with IT Systems. But the skill set and team is described above. Essentially these skills: - SharePoint -Teams -.NET - Python, NodeJS - Angular, React

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

The project is essentially a 'development partner relationship'. We now can scale when our Clients desire near-shore development. Previous to this we had scattered employees and contractors. Now we are centralizing our development arm which allows us greater efficiency and utilization. IT Systems needed to perform to earn this designation with us.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

We typically ran projects with our own PMO methodology and systems. IT Systems followed the methodology and communicated all throughout the project.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

There ability to produce quality code with good unit testing. They respect the needs of the client and us and ask questions if they don't understand something or if they have an issue with a technology decision. This is the test of a true partnership as they don't just perform tasks, but rather they want to become a true development partner.

At this time, they are doing great for us!

My position is a technical leader of a company dedicated to process automation. In this project I also participated as project manager and was able to work hand in hand with both the ITSystems team and the client that is one of the largest companies in Costa Rica and Central America for the production of dairy products and derivatives

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire ITSystems?

We contracted the services of ITSystems to support us in the phase of understanding requirements, estimation, development, QA and go to production of the customer portal.

What were your goals for this project?

The main objective of the project was to provide an e-commerce platform for customers in the region, which additionally automates the process of updating the company's master data. The application should provide a registration mechanism with its respective request for requirements that included the loading of legal documents for the formalization of customer registration and access to credit.

Additionally, customers should be able to follow up on their credit applications, order requests, data update requests, among others. The challenge in this project included interacting with SAP for the preparation of orders, designing the logic behind the quantity of items per package, the conditions of shipment of merchandise considering expiration dates, transfer of refrigerated and frozen merchandise and warehouses closer to the buyer location.

How did you select this vendor?

We selected ITSystems for its demonstrated ability in previous projects. We have hired their services for more than 5 years through which they have maintained excellent qualifications in the supplier evaluation processes. Additionally, the resources they provided were among the best qualified and most experienced in the market, without neglecting their competitive rates.

Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.

ITSystems developed a robust web application in .net, storing information in SQL server. They developed web services for communication with SAP, helped us to perform load tests on the platform and collaborated with the client in the production start-up, knowledge transfer and technical documentation. Additionally, they provided support and accompaniment to the users after putting into production

What was the team composition?

The team was composed of a technical leader who collaborated with project management issues, two full stack developers and two QA managers who additionally participated in the documentation stage

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

Both we in our role as intermediaries and the final customer were highly satisfied with the quality of deliverables and the commitment demonstrated by the IT Systems team. It is worth mentioning that this is one of our AAA clients and represents more than 40% of the company's turnover. As a result of the results obtained in this project, we managed to close the supplier portal project and other development projects for finance.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

Our company provided the project management resource for the client but our counterpart at ITSystems was responsible for coordinating all tasks within the team and providing weekly progress reports, as well as participating in the follow-up sessions with the final client. The experience was very good, the information provided was very accurate and the objectives set in time and cost were achieved despite the technical complexities

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Without a doubt, the level of commitment and quality of the deliverables are the best attributes of ITSystems, in addition to transparency in the negotiations, and the communication channels always open, both with the technical team and with the management that is always involved in the customer relationship is a high point to highlight

Are there any areas for improvement?

We are so satisfied with the services provided by ITSystems that we have no recommendation for improvement. Always at the end of the projects we carry out an exercise of lessons learned with ITSystems that has become an extension of our team of consultants. The opportunities for improvement that we have detected over the years have been immediately observed and have allowed us to consolidate a strong working relationship between both companies.
