I'm the owner of Record Retrieval Solutions, a medical records retrieving company for attorneys across the US.

We wanted to update our marketing message on our website to make sure it was consistent with our goals as a company and that it was clear to our target audience.

Growth Connect has redesigned our company’s website. Initially, they reviewed every facet of our company’s desired goals and helped us develop a blueprint with the best solution for us.
Moreover, Growth Connect has also helped us with keyword research. They’ve identified our SEO’s weak points and given us a road map with actions to improve our search engine performance in the future.

We needed help to design and develop our new website and incorporate SEO into it. We also wanted to develop a digital marketing strategy.

What was the scope of their involvement?
Growth Connect has designed and developed our company’s new website. They began with a lengthy discovery process where they reviewed our previous site, our standard product offerings, and the issues we had with increasing web traffic.
They also helped us review all our previous site’s content, including details regarding our current market, target market, and future development of product offerings. From there, we provided Growth Connect with a detailed scope of requirements, and they developed the website from scratch using WordPress.
For the SEO strategy, Growth Connect has incorporated backlinking on our new site and done extensive research about search criteria for our previous site. With that information, Growth Connect has developed search criteria for frequent searches related to our product, industry, competition, and our target market and solution.
Most of our marketing efforts have been around SEO strategy, and Growth Connect has helped us optimize our site’s content to increase organic traffic. We’re currently developing a market outreach campaign through social media.

We’ve gotten excellent results from the website Growth Connect has developed. We’ve increased our site traffic by 60% year-over-year (YoY), and organic searches have increased by 80%. Additionally, we’ve seen an increase in revenue, product information requests, and demo requests.
We’ve also received positive feedback from our clients and users. We had a minor issue with the integration between the front- and backend of the site, but Growth Connect resolved it efficiently and expeditiously. Besides this, we haven’t had any other technical issues with the new site.

Growth Connect has stayed on budget and met deadlines. They provide us with specific timeframe estimates that they adhere to.

My company is a Bangkok-based immigration firm that assists Thai nationals with immigrating to English-speaking countries such as the US, UK, Canada, and Australia. We also assist ex-pats immigrating to Thailand and partner with corporations with ex-pat workers to help them comply with Thai labor and immigration laws.

What challenge were you trying to address with Growth Connect?
We opened last October in 2021, so we’re a relatively new company within a highly competitive marketplace. We already had a working website, but I was not pleased with the marketing assistance we were getting at the time.
We needed help building a brand to differentiate ourselves from competitors who have been working in this business for longer. We engaged Growth Connect to put a marketing strategy in place and help execute it in the marketplace, so we could begin to glean clients and build a reputation.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
I sought out Growth Connect and asked Scott (CEO) to share his thoughts about building a marketing strategy and supplying resources to implement it.
To start, they evaluated our existing public materials, including our website, and delivered an SEO strategy. They focused on increasing our presence on Google, which included creating more robust service pages and articles on our website. They have also created lead magnets to attract prospective clients through information guides that might be useful to them.
They have developed an organizational structure where we have monthly and quarterly calendars and long-range goals. Growth Connect also coordinates our advertising campaigns through Facebook, YouTube, and other social media channels, as well as popular publications within the ex-pat community in Thailand.
They create content and have introduced us to a resource that helps with videos for our website. The content they work on helps tell our story through written and video client testimonials.
What is the team composition?
I primarily work with Scott as my dedicated CMO, and he coordinates with other team members. I interface with a marketing agency, freelancers, and other resources, but Scott is the “hub” for the hub-and-spoke model we’ve created for our marketing efforts.
How did you come to work with Growth Connect?
I found Growth Connect online, and their presence was compelling.
As a small company, I couldn’t afford a full-time CMO and didn’t want to get lost as one of many clients at a large agency. Based on their online presence, I felt they could help make our company and services more compelling to prospective clients.
Then, I interviewed Scott, who shared his perspective on how Growth Connect could help us through their business model. Given the life stage of our company and what he was offering, it seemed like a fit, and we moved forward.
What is the status of this engagement?
We began working together in December 2021, and the collaboration is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
I measure their success in a few primary ways. The first is building a database of prospective leads. Our leads have grown immensely in the last six months. We’ve gone from having zero prospects to a healthy population of contacts with whom we connect through our lead magnets.
We also measure success by the number of contact forms or inbound requests we receive, which has increased to the point where I’ve had to hire more staff. Finally, we measure our presence on Google and track whether our search viability continues to grow. They continue to meet our metrics, and we are seeing consistent growth.
As a law firm, we’re interested in attracting clients, but we want clients to connect with us and engage our services after they’ve gleaned trust in us. Growth Connect developed a creative strategy to tell our story in a compelling way, which is essential. We don’t have a set end date, but we’ll continue the partnership as long as they continue to add tremendous value to our company.
How did Growth Connect perform from a project management standpoint?
They are the best partner I’ve worked with in nearly 40 years. I have been on executive teams in the US, where we’ve had great marketing departments, and Scott is the best at managing our project and calendar.
The tools and technology they use effectively keep track of the project and keep our team engaged. We use Milanote for our communications board. We also record our conversations when we discuss strategy and vision, which has been helpful. We’ve shared those recordings with freelance writers or other resources to help them get caught up more efficiently when appropriate.
We see Growth Connect as a bridge, where Scott acts as our dedicated, part-time CMO, and he brings the strategy and resources he has garnered in Thailand to help with implementation. Scott is truly our coordinator, and does a fantastic job in that regard.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I’m impressed by their ability to understand our vision and company goals, and translate that into a mutually agreed-upon strategy.
The best thing has been their methods of keeping the project organized and running smoothly. I’m a very busy managing director, growing a reasonably new company in a highly competitive market with demanding clients, and I don’t have time to keep trains running on time.
Everything we do is coordinated through Growth Connect. We have other resources which help us implement our plans, but I can rely on Scott to keep things running efficiently and effectively. They have done a tremendous job running things smoothly and communicating progress transparently. They’ve demonstrated a solid understanding of the project and provided the appropriate data points to refer to whenever needed. At this stage, we can’t afford to hire a full-time CMO, but I feel that my company and I are very well cared for by Scott and the Growth Connect team.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I have nothing they could improve on. I don’t have any issues with Growth Connect or their services, and I don’t want to try to make something up.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
My first piece of advice is to be completely transparent and engaged during the beginning stages so that Growth Connect can learn about your business and the target client profiles. Go through the foundational work that a good CMO like Scott will take the company through so that you understand the clients your company is pursuing. That foundational work can feel like a distraction, but it’s incredibly important.
Second, we sometimes want to maintain tight control as managing directors or CEOs, but you have to trust Scott and Growth Connect to guide you towards what works in the marketplace. If you’re going to hire them, then listen to their expertise.
