Please describe your company and your position there.

I'm the business operations manager at a digital agency. I oversee budgets, reporting, and accounting for our clients.

For what projects/services did your company hire Forte Innovations, and what were your goals?

Our previous vendor wasn't preparing our taxes well, and our numbers never seemed accurate. We needed a reliable team that could correctly prepare our taxes, get our books in order, and deliver on time. The goal was to prepare our taxes correctly and improve business operations.

How did you select this firm and what were the deciding factors?

We searched online and reviewed about 10 proposals. In the end, we chose them because they had superior expertise and were familiar with our in-house accounting tools.

First, we met with them to discuss our goals and objectives. They went over our books and found several issues with our fi nances. Then, they suggested some process improvements and switched us over to an accrual-based system. We're still working with them to handle our taxes.

They have fl exible pricing. We only pay for the services that we use, which changes each month depending on our needs.

How many resources from the firm's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

We mainly work with three people: a senior accountant who is our main point of contact, and two team members who support other tasks.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the engagement or general feedback about the services?

Within 30 days, they completed the majority of the work for the audit, and the switch to the accrual-based system was successful. Overall, we're making smarter decisions, which has resulted in stronger processes and increased sales. We also appreciate how well they handle our taxes.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

The onboarding process was well-organized. Our account manager is easy to reach and provides frequent updates. We talk on the phone at least once a week and use email for everything else. For our quarterly meetings, they come to our office to go over reports from our Quickbook account and discuss our business goals.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I was blown away by their financial expertise. The staff is very experienced and has completely transformed our bookkeeping processes. They're professional, get work done correctly, and help us make informed financial decisions.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

The tax preparation has gone well, but we would like more detailed summaries after our quarterly meetings. This would help ensure that we're all on the same page for next steps.
