I’m the founder of a boutique marketing consultancy specializing in consumer packaged goods located in Austin, Texas.

What challenge were you trying to address with Foodist Films?

I needed recipe videos and additional content for my clients on various digital platforms.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

I started with a couple of videos with Foodist Films and bought a package of videos after.  They've produced dozens of custom videos, each with a full one-minute version and a 15-second cut-down.

They continue to provide full production services including storyboarding, filming, video editing, and audio mixing. The team prepares the decor in line with my requests and shops for all necessary food & prop items. They provide their own equipment and studio space and film there as well.

What is the team composition?

I’m working with two people from Foodist Films, including an account manager and video producer.

How did you come to work with Foodist Films?

I found them online and we had a great conversation in which they explained their full process to me. They supplied a detailed quote as well.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent $15,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working together in January 2021, and we continue to collaborate.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’ve got a lot of views and engagement on the videos they've posted on our website, Youtube, Facebook, and Instagram. Moreover, the videos they’ve produced have been the best performing assets for our client's brands.

How did Foodist Films perform from a project management standpoint?

Foodist Films has a seamless process and it’s easy to get in touch with them. On top of that, they’re always clear about the project’s cost, and they're friendly. We mostly communicate through emails, but we do have phone calls from time to time.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The quality of their work is top-notch, and we enjoy working with them.

No, I have no complaints.

Have a specific vision and communicate with as much detail possible because they can only execute closer to your vision if they have enough information.

For what projects/services did your company hire Foodist Films, and what were your goals?

In an effort to expand our recipe library, we hired Foodist Films. Our goals were to provide engaging, valuable, and enticing recipe videos for our consumers.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

After reviewing several applicants, we selected the awesome Foodist Films team for their ability to adapt and interpret our brand. They championed our brand style and helped us forge and experiment with our recipe videos!

We had monthly meetings where we would sync on marketing initiatives, provide high level feedback on the previous months batch of content, and discuss and ideate with the Foodist team on new concepts, experiments, and ways to improve the value of our content to our audience.

Between our monthly meetings with Steve and Alex, our team would provide recipes to Foodist that they would then create and deliver within the month, with room for a round of edits based on our feedback, and then we’d push through the final iterations to social media and our website.

Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?

We have an extensive team that would review the assets, and Steve and Alex from Foodist were extremely receptive to any and all feedback. Several times, we would pitch ideas for the entire Foodist team, and they would all brainstorm ways to execute for us to select from or build upon. Foodist was extremely accommodating to our nuanced brand and all the feedback that comes with that!

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Over the course of building out our recipe library, we were able to identify techniques and strategies that aligned with our consumers recipe viewing habits. We continually optimized the formats for the best viewing experience, while developing what we wanted Siete’s recipe videos to look and sound like.

Foodist was timely, agile, adaptable, and always friendly! They were willing to use different communication tools and project management systems without missing a beat. We super appreciated the thoughts and questions they brought to each meeting and the energy they infused into each video.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They are an extension of family! We love the entire Foodist family and we are so grateful for the work they provided. Aside from their overall awesomeness, we really appreciate our experience of growing, learning, adapting, and evolving alongside a great group of creative and kind people.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Nope, they’ve done great things for us and show no signs of stopping!

Found them on instagram! The work I saw looked like something out of a commercial or magazine. So professional, cozy, makes it feel homemade.

Clear, concise, on schedule. Our suggestion is to create a calendar of recipes and give Foodist films that visibility months in advance.

We worked with the founders directly. The monthly call are helpful to align ourselves for upcoming months.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We have grown our Social Media account by 100% since we partnered with Foodist Films. The sales that have been driven to our e-commerce site because of the recipe videos have a ROI.

The project manager is responsive through email/text. We have monthly calls that help us to engage in any discussions for the upcoming month. We suggest to be on a calendar and share with them your vision of recipes for the next 6+ months.

The detail and level of precision when following our recipes instructions. They are artists who have a great eye for making your recipe look stunning!

I hired Foodist Films to produce a video for a client of mine that was launching their CPG product to the public and wanted to capture their launch party.

I chose Foodist Films because of the quality of their work, professionalism, and reliability. They know the food and understood what I was looking for.

We started with a discovery meeting and I explained why we needed the video, the purpose of the event, and where the client was going to use the video.

I worked with Steve, Alex, and a member of their team who came and shot the video the day of the event. The feedback process was great and they made it super easy for me since I was running the event.

The video came out perfect and to this day the clients rave about the overall success of the event. Now, they have footage to look back on it and repurpose it as they see fit.

I communicated with them via phone and email, primarily. As a smaller agency, it was very simple to get in touch with them and get the answers I needed.

I found their nimbleness and work quality very impressive and on par with any other video products on the market.

No, I think they were the perfect partner and can't wait to work with them again.
