I've the owner for a company in the human resources area and we created a startup for RH hunting and other services related to the business.

For what projects/services did your company hire FlyDevs, and what were your goals?

We work together in a startup with some funds I got from my business. I heard about Flydevs from other colleges who were clients in the past. In my case, I just wanted a website for multiple users and companies who were looking to get partnership on RH. The website looks awesome and we're working on a new build.

How did you select FlyDevs and what were the deciding factors?

Flydevs paid a lot of attention to the project, working as part of our business and trying to find the best options to develop the startup and using the most recent technologies and cloud services. We past some audits with success and we found a partnership valuable for the future.

We create milestones/sprints and JIRA tickets to make this working in agile methodology. They created designs and UX flows with Invision. They used JIRA as Management Tool. They used ReactJS and NodeJS as main technologies. We create a new plan between 8 weeks to make the progress valuable for customers and investors.

I work with Francisco, Florencia, Tomas, Nahuel and Matias. Francisco and Florencia handled communications, relationships, feedback and some Demo's. Tomas, Nahuel and Matias were the developers who built the monster :)

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We just shared the website with a lot of customers and investors recieving great feedback about the user experience. About delivery times, we achieved all the dates and schedule was aimed

We used JIRA for anything here and all the comms for daily status were through Slack.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I think they were looking to create a good experience on the client side. I felt that sometimes I was taking their time but they always get back to help me. We thought that the pricing was high but we saw its worth from the team's exerted effort and output.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I think that in this case, we have a great experience but some clients could be waiting for a support guy if there is no much knowledge about the technical stuff. On my side, All the team took the time to explain me all the aspects I should learn to get the thinks working.

I can't say definitely how many people were involved in the project as we only communicated with the project manager and the developer.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

The primary means of communication was through emails. There were a few video calls but not regularly scheduled. We did not utilize Jira or Trello to track project.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They are very responsive and cost-effective.

Are there any areas for improvement?

I would suggest the following: 1. That the team first get an understanding of the project or business idea before tackling it head on. This will better position to make recommendations and understand exactly what the requirements are or what should be achieved. 2. Even though the wireframe is provided, Flydevs should consider building out a SOW that not mirrors the wireframe exactly but should be creative re design and incorporate that into the cost 3. Incorporate more regularly scheduled calls for the duration of the project 4. Email traffic was a lot and new emails chains had to be started to avoid confusion. Utilize slack or any other communication platform going forward. 5. More thorough UAT before handing off to the hiring team

Diabecarp is a platform where people with diabetes can educate themselves and have access to super useful tools through which they can improve their average blood glucose and thus have the best possible state of health. Our mission is to make diabetes no longer a problem. I am Matias Carpintini, Founder and CEO of Diabecarp, startup founded in February 2018. We currently have about 10 employees and we are raising a "Serie A".

Backend development of the main module of our web platform in RoR.

What were your goals for this project?

Get to give functionality to all our frontend part of said module. Which includes an algorithm for the recommendation of insulin doses, scrap documents and deliver an output such as glycosylated hemoglobin and personalized recommendations for a specific user.

How did you select this vendor?

FlyDevs was the recommendation of a mentor of our company. We had about 9 options from different agencies for the same project. We opted for FlyDevs for its commitment to our mission, empathy, flexibility and a long journey.

They developed all the backend for the frontend we had. They implemented various APIs, such as AWS and Stripe. Development of our own internal API for communication with another tool of our company and various connections to external organizations. And the most important part, an algorithm capable of recommending a dose of insulin to our users on certain occasions.

What was the team composition?

The composition of the team was the following, 1 project manager for a team of 3 devs in RoR responsible for developing said algorithm and another project manager responsible for a team of other 5 devs responsible for developing the rest of the backend.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

The development of this project today represents 70% of what Diabecarp generates economically. Around 10K of active users per month achieved an average glycosylated hemoglobin of 5.8% thanks to the algorithm for the recommendation of insulin doses. We managed to make a lot of noise in the ecosystem and get enough traction to leave us in a super privileged position before our competition.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

Project management was very impressive, especially compared to other agencies. They complied with the overwhelming majority of deadlines without problems. Our communication was exciting by GitHub, Slack and Jira.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Empathy with entrepreneurs and startups in an interesting growth. In general, agencies always seek to meet a deadline, deliver what the client asks for and that's it. In this case, we got a lot of feedback from our project and a very pleasant friendship with the whole team.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Maybe it would be interesting to have more brainstorming. I discovered this is a strong thing they have, it applies a lot of value to the customer. They are very creative and innovative. It is definitely something in which the rest is different from the whole and I see super attractive that they can exploit this ability more.

Pinny was made using Ionic 3, Firestore and Laravel for backend side. They used Mandrill, Mercado Pago and other integrations who help us to have a real product working in less than 5 months.

What was the team composition?

Flor was the Project Manager, Pablo the mobile lead developer and Leandro helped us to have the front end and backend side all ready in a short time. Also, Adrian & Leandro made the wireframes/prototype.

We get now a good amount of chefs and customers using the mobile apps now. By the moment we have more than 5k users! You can get the 2 mobile apps on the stores and on our website.

Super, I won't like using Trello but the team was always available on Whats App and by email! I usually work on the night and they were responsive!

They were quick to respond and had great brainstorming skills.
