Soccer-Daddy is a Soccer-Platform created in PHP / Zend Framework. I was looking for a team to handle all development and design processes. I've found EXTFOX as an expert in PHP and Frontend to help me with different phases such as design, development (2 parts of different integration that were successfully completed), and AWS Setup and maintenance.

There were 3 people actively working on the site. I've had one project manager, one backend developer, and one front-end developer.

The main outcome I would mention is that the current site is live, and maintained and all functionalities are workable. The communication was high-level and easily understandable. I was able to change and adapt many times things in the way I liked, and EXTFOX was very efficient in the same.

Their support, communication, and approach to things you would like to build. I would mention the 30 days of free support for each functionality, and as startup that helps me a lot.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Things always can be improved, but mostly I wouldn't change so much on their side. I am highly impressed with the approach and realization.

I'm the Chief Technical Officer of a software company that developed the first SaaS-enabled marketplace for the Global Mobility Industry.

We've been developing a complex SaaS solution linked to a marketplace that helps vendors, clients and their employees to manage the end-to-end process of relocating employees to other countries for work purposes. We had a lot of complex features in the pipeline and a relatively short and strict deadline of about 7 months to deliver.

We had started to put together a development team a few months prior and onboarded new members on a monthly basis. We were looking for highly knowledgeable people that would be able to jump into an existing & complex project and be able to show results immediately with minimal training.

After a couple of interviews with Dusan we were confident he had the technical knowledge and professionalism to bring value to the team.

We had an initial kickoff where we presented the platform, technologies used and work methodologies. After that, Dusan became a full time member of the team, participating in daily meetings, sprint plannings and all other team communication. His main responsibility was on the front-end portals of our platform, which were build in Angular.

He has been responsible for the frontend implementation of some of our most complicated features. Anything that had a complex UX or needed a great deal of attention to detail on the UI side generally went to him. In terms of technical skills, he was able to suggest and implement project-wide improvements and upgrades.

We started with one full time, senior developer and a few months later we added a second, mid-level developer (also full time).

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We were able to deliver all the major features we were planning relatively on time, which was a big concern of ours. Since some of the major features were release, we were able to start onboarding clients and generate sales through the platform.

Project management was handled by us internally, but the 2 developers from EXTFOX have really good communication skills. They've integrated into the team really well and were able to communicate directly with other members independently and work together with them to complete features without need for supervision or intervention.

The turnaround speed on deliverables was generally very good and while there were some delays on the more complicated features, the simpler ones were usually on time.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I was very happy with the attention to detail, amongst other things. Sometimes when you work with senior front-end developers, they tend to focus more on the functionality and technically complex tasks, while leaving design consideration on the side. This was not the case here though. They put in the effort to ensure that the UI followed the designs as closely as possible.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

There was a particular instance when a feature was taking longer to finish then we felt it should, but after discussing it with them it got back on track and we noticed that focus was being put into it again.

EXTFOX were able to act as part of the team, attending standup and planning meetings and delivering regular pull requests.

Every sprint we would outline what needed to be delivered and assign that to individual developers including Dusan from EXTFOX. Dusan delivered features for an Angular web app with a Java API on the backend.

EXTFOX acted as a good extra resource when we were low on developers and helped us to maintain pace in delivering sprint goals.

They have a great can-do attitude and apply themselves to any problem you give them.

In the course of carrying out later work, some bugs were introduced. These were rectified over the course for the next sprint but slowed us down. The functionality was complex though, so although this could have been avoided it's completely understandable.

The release was a success. Client was very happy with the results. We had to overcome last minute changes previous to it, but all on track and in good timing.

We received a well-coded Shopify theme that we could continue improving with internal resources. Communication was pretty good, and everything was on time.

It was pretty much hands off from our side. After we've delivered the XD files, they guys jumped on it and presented us with a first draft within 2 weeks. After a round of QA, we identified a few minor things which the team fixed quickly and efficiently.

For what projects/services did your company hire EXTFOX, and what were your goals?

Our goal with hiring EXTFOX was to create a beautiful, simple, and functionally stellar User Interface & User Experience for freetrials.com. This included design and development, working hand-in-hand with our backend development team. Once that vision was realized, we added goals, including;

1. Create and integrate two uniquely different WordPress builds into our custom site, allowing for Optimal SEO and Content Management for our Trial Pages as well as News Section.
2. Build a Payment Processing System and Billing Portal for our Vendors.
3. Goals are added and attained regularly dedicated to improving our UI/UX, Content Management Systems, and SEO efforts.

I was referred to EXTFOX by a colleague during the search for someone to tackle our site's UI/UX. The key deciding factors were based around the following:

• Experience: I visited their site, scheduled a call, and was showcased a lot of their current & past clients. Their work was stunning.
• Trust: I developed trust with EXTFOX very early through many early-stage ideation conference calls.
• Communication: It became clear that EXTFOX were both timely and thorough communicators.
• Passion: I could tell through early brainstorm meetings that EXTFOX did not want to take any shortcuts, but rather accurately and thoroughly.

We started with conference calls, screensharing my wireframes of the site design with the EXTFOX team.

Within a week, EXTFOX had drafted the first iteration of our site design and delivered it for review through login credentials to a private Adobe XD portal URL. I then developed a punchlist of changes through a shared Google Doc, we went back and forth on Slack until we were happy with the design.

From here, EXTFOX began working in conjunction with our backend development team to execute the implementation of the UI/UX. They created a staging area and would notify me regularly of live production changes to review the staging URL.

I'd then create another punchlist of needed changes through a shared Google Doc, and after a few months of back & forth, we successfully went live with our MVP.

This process continued to our WordPress Content Management Systems & Payment Processing system, where we continue successfully working/reviewing today.

Approximately 5 people throughout our 2 years working together have assisted with freetrials.com with varying development, designer, and WordPress expertise.

The best measure of success has been the tons of compliments we receive on how beautiful and simple our site is at freetrials.com. That is exactly what we set out to accomplish, and we could not have done it without EXTFOX.

In terms of measurable outcomes, we've been able to generate significant revenue and have ramped up faster than we could have imagined. This success that EXTFOX has helped us to achieve has unlocked our ability to turn around and ask them for more ambitious goals. They continue to knock it out the park for us.

EXTFOX have always been clear and concise communicators. They expect the same, and our feedback is always thorough. Once they receive our feedback, they turn it into action items for our review before development. This way we're all on the exact same page.

This management style has allowed for nearly zero communication issues in the 2 years we've worked closely together. In the event of delivery delays, EXTFOX has always communicated with us quickly and thoroughly explaining why and when the new delivery date would be.

EXTFOX regularly delivers above and beyond our expectations. It's impossible to think of each and every little development need that pops up in the execution of desired goals.

EXTFOX has always breezed over those speedbumps without up-charges, and only included us on a need-to-know basis. Their level of honesty and integrity in the development world is the best I've ever seen.

Sometimes the time difference can be a detriment to our workflow, since his team is located at a near-opposite timezone as our time. Also, when we initially started working together, their invoicing tool was giving us trouble, but that has since been resolved and works great now.
