We are an IT services company that provides software development, mobile app development, and cloud infrastructure support services for our customers.

What business challenge were you trying to address with Exposit DS?

The business model of our company is that we have consultants here in the DC Metro Area, and we use Exposit DS as our software development office. We do a little of our own development work but we primarily outsource it to Exposit DS.

We’ve been working with them since 2012, and the projects have ranged widely since then. Recently they built a web and mobile app for our client, who was a startup company that was looking to build an app that would allow their users to send out electronic gift cards with some customization. Then, over the course of the last year they built a web application that was used as a platform that enabled fashion designers to work online. They’ve also worked on several projects around building out a company’s cloud infrastructure.

How did you come to work with Exposit DS?

I am from Belarus, and I knew the management of Exposit DS for a while. We knew it would be a good relationship from the first few projects we gave them and have been working with them ever since.

Could you provide a sense of the size of this initiative in financial terms?

Usually the projects are in the $10,000 to $50,000 range.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in the summer of 2012, and the relationship is ongoing.

Could you share any statistics or metrics from this engagement?

One of our recent projects was with Social Tables. With Exposit DS’s help, we were able to propose scalable cloud architecture for their infrastructure servers. The outcome was that users stopped having to deal with timeouts and outages during peak hours, so it pretty much stabilized their platform in terms of the infrastructure.

What distinguishes Exposit DS from other providers?

The number one thing is the quality of communication and quality of work. I’ve been doing business with them for the last three years, and so far there was no business-related issue that we could not work out by just talking. In terms of the technical experience, I want to say that they are probably one of the best IT providers in Eastern Europe. They’re more than just coders. They have experienced senior developers and architects who are really useful whenever we try to come up with out-of-the-box solutions for our clients.

Is there anything Exposit DS could have improved or done differently?

Improvements would probably go along the lines of communication. The majority of their senior staff has great English communication skills, but when we talk to their mid or junior level developers, it’s not as good, which can be a problem if we try to connect them with our US-based clients.

Exposit was responsible for developing a sophisticated AI-powered platform for digitizing ECGs. Their work included everything from preprocessing images to handling issues like shadows and stains, detecting and separating ECG channels, and applying OCR for text recognition. The key deliverable was a functional prototype that could process various ECG images, even those that were damaged, and produce accurate, analyzable digital graphs.

Working with Exposit led to significant improvements in our ability to process and analyze ECG data. The digitalization process became more efficient, allowing for quicker and more reliable diagnoses. This directly enhanced our workflow and contributed to better patient care.

We needed a custom software development in Atlassian world.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Previous experience with our technology stack and their office was quite close so it was worth to start collaboration.

We used agile approach, thus we had PO role and they had all the development team roles. Then each sprint we had to decide what to do and everything we needed to burn down was also delivered!

We had different developers in our team up to 4 development team members. Then also QA and UX designer. All of them were nice and thinking along with our team.

Not really. Its software development and small misunderstandings in communication and new technological challenges are inevitable.

We didn't have time to complete the project due to other priorities within the company.

We had online meetings twice a week to check progress and used Jira to track all tasks and assignments.

The Exposit developer was smart and proactive. They found solutions for difficult problems for our product. They also posted questions on forums to get ideas from the community.

Exposit developed a mobile application meeting all our requirements. The application was built using Flutter and includes the following functionality:

• access to lists of reports;
• a calendar where all events for the delivery of documentation are marked;
• a dashboard with main events;
• customer cards.

Their Project Manager has effectively supported the implementation throughout the project. Exposit QA Engineer performed UI regression testing of a software solution.

We completed the project on time thanks to quality services and management. The mobile version has positively affected the daily professional activities making the work of specialists seamless and agile.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Project managers from our side and from Exposit side had a mutual understanding that allowed them to build an effective working environment and provide high productivity. Exposit's specialists were always willing to help and find the best solutions for our business. The communication was held in Skype and via Zoom.
