Additionally, they developed and extended the CSV export functionality, allowing for more efficient data handling.

To streamline operations with larger datasets, they created various scripts to process bulk data efficiently. They also updated the styling of our media library, improving its usability and visual appeal. Furthermore, the team carried out multiple smaller visual optimizations to enhance the overall user interface and provide a polished user experience.

Nothing. I had an extremely disappointing experience with Syed and his agency Excelorithm LLC. Initially, I was drawn in by promises of quality work and a smooth development process, but it quickly became clear that the focus was solely on extracting money.

Their project management was notably lacking. I began the contract for an MVP on December 23, with an expected delivery date of February 1, 2024. However, they consistently delayed the project, ultimately taking until May to deliver. When the MVP was finally completed, it did not align with our contract specifications and was non-functional. Their response to my needs throughout this process was inadequate, with little communication or accountability for the delays. Overall, this experience was frustrating and far from what was promised.

The most impressive aspect of this company is the abundance of glowing reviews found online, which initially attracted me. However, I later discovered that these reviews are misleading and largely fabricated. They promise a range of features and functionalities that they are not genuinely prepared to deliver, particularly in terms of the technology required. This disconnect between their marketing and actual capabilities was both surprising and disappointing, as it created unrealistic expectations.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Excelorithm could have done differently?

Excelorithm could significantly improve by not promising features that they are not capable of delivering. Honesty in their communication is crucial; misleading clients only leads to frustration and distrust. Additionally, they should refrain from charging clients for services when they know the deliverables are not functional. Transparency about their capabilities and a commitment to realistic timelines would foster a more positive experience for their clients.

I’m the founder and CEO of a human capital development software platform. We also have business intelligence dashboards that deal with corporations from 250–250,000 employees. We started our company in 2010.

Excelorithm has taken over the maintenance of our developed human capital development platform. They maintain over 14 modules. Currently, we work with Microsoft platforms, so we use .NET and SQL for the database. Additionally, Excelorithm manages our AWS hosting services.

We continuously improve the platform; we’re always listening to our customers and coming up with new updates every 90 days. We describe the scope of work, and Excelorithm comes back with suggestions and improvements. We plan to complete the UI transformation in the first quarter of 2023. We’ll also be transitioning and adding some AI.

What is the team composition?

The team includes the founders, a team leader, a project manager, software engineers, and coders.

How did you come to work with Excelorithm?

Our offshore development team leader had a sudden health issue, leaving us nowhere. Excelorithm’s founder worked for the previous company we were working with. We got in touch with our team members, and they brought everything under their umbrella.

What is the status of the engagement?

We began working together in September 2021 and are still in partnership with them.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We measure the platform’s success based on the number of tickets we get from customers and the number of bugs or system errors. Since they’ve taken over, we’ve had minimal bugs. Excelorithm has reduced them significantly, so we aren’t getting calls from our Houston customers about this problem.

Moreover, our measure is customer satisfaction, and they’ve achieved it. Our customers have rated us at 4.9/5 on our customer service and the stability of our platform, which means a lot to us. Overall, the performance has been seamless for over a year, and we’re very thankful for how professional and trustworthy they are.

How did Excelorithm perform from a project management standpoint?

They bring senior team members on the project management side. The team meets deadlines and stays within the budget in our contract. We keep in touch every week with their leader and use business intelligence dashboards to manage the project. Additionally, we communicate via Zoom.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re very focused; they believe in customer service and delivery. Overall, it’s great to have a partner that always looks for advanced platforms and UI.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They’re growing fast, so they need to keep up with quality people and retain their top talent. We plan to give them more work, but that also means they have to add advanced capabilities to their team.
