Introduce your business and what you do there.

I work at Dye & Durham, a legal software technology company. We’ve got about 1,000 employees globally, so we have operations in Australia, UK, Ireland, and Canada.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Ethos Metrics Ltd.?

We inherited many websites from an acquisition, and we weren’t able to rebuild or invest significant SEO activity in them. We needed a company to come in and review what was working with the PPC and keywords. Then, they had to come back with recommendations to improve the sites’ performance and profitability.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Ethos put a phased proposal of recommendations together. In phase one, we need to look at all the websites and determine which ones are worth investing in. They’ve led further advice on what we need to build out and do to the website.

What is the team composition?

We work with two people. We have an account manager, and Karen (Director) runs the agency.

How did you come to work with Ethos Metrics Ltd.?

I worked with Karen many years ago. I came across her company on LinkedIn and got in touch again.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent between $10,000–$50,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began our partnership with them around October 2020, and we’re still working together.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They share a dashboard of metrics with us, and we review it every week at a meeting. It has every website, number of visitors, PPC spend, what's been tracked, and what's been sold. Overall, their reporting is probably their biggest strength. They give us real visibility and clarity of what we're spending, what's working, and what's not.

How did Ethos Metrics Ltd. perform from a project management standpoint?

They're brilliant. They manage the project and report back to us. Ethos is great at spotting where there's a trend or an issue, and they'll flag it to us so that we analyze it and understand what's causing the problem.

For project management, everything they use is from Google because they’re a Google partner. Also, communication is typically through Teams and Google Meet. We do a lot of emails too, but Karen sends updates through Google Docs.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their expertise is astounding. They're just on top of any changes, and the team understands how to balance all the work.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They outsource the SEO relationships; they bring in a partner. If they had that all under the Ethos Metrics brand, it’d be quite nice for a customer like us.

Any advice for potential customers?

Just give them a very honest brief and tell them what the challenges are. Also, provide them with access to as much information as you can. They're very good at reviewing it, breaking it down, and understanding what it actually means.
