Essentient Association Management (Essentient A.M.C. Inc.) was established in January 2005 by seasoned association executive Constance Wrigley-Thomas. Her goal was to assist non-staffed, volunteer-led organizations in meeting their objectives through strategic leadership and operational know how.
For nearly 18 years Essentient has provided a wide range of services including event planning and marketing/communications support to not-for-profit industry associations at the national, the provincial, and the local level. Essentient’s mission is: To partner with growth focused associations so they can create impactful communities and achieve their full potential.
Unlike some of its competitors, Essentient is an AMC first which means that its primary business is association management. This is an important distinction because our focus on our clients is not diverted by competing income sources. Our business is 100% full-service association management.
Essentient takes a team approach with all of our clients. While we may assign one staff to be the main point of contact, all our staff contribute in one way or another to client outcomes and we always have back ups to ensure continuity.
While some AMCs experience a high rate of staff transiency, Essentient prides itself on maintaining a very stable team. This ensures consistency and continuity for our clients. Moreover, our staff is strongly supported in ongoing professional development pursuits by participating in seminars, workshops and conferences held by the Canadian Society of Association Executives (CSAE), Meeting Professionals International (MPI), and the Association Management Company Institute (AMCI).
As a co-founder of the AMC Institute Canadian Chapter, Essentient is a leader in the AMC space.
