I'm the president of a cloud-based provider of scheduling solutions for public safety organizations.

For what projects/services did your company hire Emcorsoft LLC, and what were your goals?

Emcorsoft is our software development partner for cloud based services, business intelligence, staff augmentation and mobile development. The Emcorsoft partnership has been put in place in various projects with the organization. From the development of new mobile applications to the implementation of new frameworks and technologies using the Microsoft Azure Cloud.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We evaluated 3 different potential partners and selected Emcorsoft due to their experience, local presence in Florida and the talent of their staff, which was validated during the interview process and confirmed through the successful delivery of completed solutions.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

Our partnership with Emcorsoft started with a kick off meeting where the developers were introduced to our scrum process and tools. From there we trained the team on our platform, code and infrastructure. After training was completed we discussed the specs for new products and features and integrated the internal and Emcorsoft team to collaborate as one on every sprint. This model has provided excellent results.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

Emcorsoft helped us with 3 full time engineers with skills in cloud development, mobile development using the Microsoft technology stack (c#, asp.net, etc).

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Time to market has been the biggest advantage of our partnership with Emcorsoft. Our customers and stakeholders are seeing increased value at a faster speed.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

Our agile process uses Microsoft Dev Ops to track the software development life cycle. We have daily stand up meetings, sprint planning, task estimation and retrospectives. Each sprint includes testing and code reviews.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their ability to bring highly experience full stack developers that collaborate with our team as true team members not as if they were a 3rd party. We expected a vendor-client relationship and instead attained a true team environment with daily collaboration.
