Please describe your company and your position there.

I'm the founder and CEO of Vagabond, a company that supports food service distributors. We help them operate efficiently and expand their business using technology and financial solutions.

For what projects/services did your company hire Eloquentix?

We began to partner with Eloquentix years ago when we needed to update our mobile applications. Since then their team has grown with ours and built multiple web applications, a payments processing network, consumer marketing engagement services, financial reconciliation features, and numerous hardware and software partner integrations.

What were your goals for this project?

Our goal is to find a software development partner with nice, good, hardworking, team-based individuals with lots of different kinds of skills that would be with us for the long run.

We found them in the directory at WeWork. We interviewed a dozen firms, met with a few, did a trial project with Eloquentix, and have grown our reliance on them every since.

With Eloquentix, we have 4 distinct mobile apps, built multiple web applications, a payments processing network, consumer marketing engagement services, financial reconciliation features, and numerous hardware and software partner integrations.

What was the team composition?

We started with 1 full-time equivalent and have grown it to 4-5+. At times, we have been able to reduce our FTEs temporarily.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

Eloquentix is the primary software technology provider for Vagabond. Their technology is touched hundreds of times a day by each individual at hundreds of businesses across America. Eloquentix manages everything from the servers, the databases, APIs, and front end. Without Eloquentix, we would not exist.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

We have one primary commercial contact and one team lead, who is also a developer,which is particularly helpful as we float individual resources into and out of the team as needs arise. It works very well.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Are there any areas for improvement?

I know everybody says you should know all the answers before engaging In technology development. Those people have never actually done it. Jump in with Eloquentix. They'll help you figure out what you don't know.
