I’m the founder of a digital marketing company called SkyBound Digital.

What challenge were you trying to address with eComSoft Tech-Solutions?

We have an ongoing partnership and have worked on several different development projects together.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

After working on a marketing campaign, our clients often want to add additional features to their website and we outsource to eComSoft Tech-Solutions. These projects often include e-commerce, enabling account creation features, and other technical things that aren’t available on Squarespace.

Typically, our clients discuss with us what they want and we create a design that will fit their needs. We then bring that solution to eComSoft Tech-Solutions, who then develops it.

They work with a variety of different technologies depending on the task. They use jQuery for database work, Magento and woo-commerce for e-commerce projects, and various other solutions like CodeIgniter that integrate well with PHP platforms. They’ve even done some custom coding for us.

What is the team composition?

I work with their lead developer and owner frequently. They oversee the project and then 2–3 of their teammates work on various parts of the project.

How did you come to work with eComSoft Tech-Solutions?

I hired the owner of the company when he was still a freelance developer. Eventually, he was able to build a bigger team. Now our teams are in the same office building, which makes collaboration very simple.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent between $8,000–$10,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We’ve worked with them pretty consistently since they became incorporated in 2017.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Their total impact is difficult to quantify, but we’re always pleased with their work. When their first draft goes live and users can interact with the product, our clients are impressed by how closely they follow project guidelines. While other developers often create something completely different, eComSoft Tech-Solutions delivers what the client wants. They obviously care about their work and the client’s opinion.

How did eComSoft Tech-Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?

Their leaders have a very efficient management structure in place, so their workflow is really smooth. When I am in our Indian office, I usually speak with them in person, but if I’m in the US, we communicate via Skype or an international phone plan. We also keep track of tasks using Google Docs.

As someone who has worked closely with them for several years, I appreciate how well I can communicate with their team. As their team has grown in recent years, they’ve accumulated resources and have improved up turnaround time. Projects that took nine months a few years ago, only take three months now.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’ve adopted an honest and upfront approach that distinguishes them from their competitors.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Although they speak English, there is a bit of a language barrier. However, a little miscommunication is easy to overcome with a bit of practice. Additionally, requests sent via email are sometimes implemented in the incorrect order. But this stuff happens, and they have a flexible team that is able to make sure everything is right.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

It’s worth having a phone call or in-person conversation with the owner to clarify your ideas going forward.
