East & West Inc has helped us run a digital marketing campaign to optimize our online presence and help us secure more leads. They’ve initially conducted market research to identify industry trends and devise particular strategies that set our brand apart. 

Upon collating their findings, they’ve then rebranded our content on our Google, Facebook, and Instagram accounts by updating our theme and company information — most of the content being distributed across our Google and Facebook pages. Additionally, their team has spearheaded an email marketing campaign to further get the word out about our business.

At present, East & West Inc leads our LinkedIn marketing campaign as we’re trying to implement a new client acquisition strategy. We also rely on their team to manage our ongoing promotions and any marketing-related efforts.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’ve seen a stable increase in sales and a robust rate of 3–4 leads a week since we’ve worked with East & West Inc. It’s hard to convince customers to rent spaces during the pandemic, but we can tell that East & West Inc’s promotional strategies work because clients come back to us after inquiring about what we offer. Overall, I’m pleased with the results they’ve been delivering — they’re solid proof that I’m getting my ROI.

How did East & West Inc perform from a project management standpoint?

We communicate via phone calls and in-person meetings. East & West Inc delivers what they promise, and they see to it that there are solutions prepared for unforeseen circumstances, which I appreciate as a project manager myself.

Their team has efficient planning skills, and they conduct thorough research before actually deciding on a strategy to implement. They get the work done right the first time — that says a lot about their expertise and work discipline.

What did you find most impressive about them?

East & West Inc knows the ins and outs of market research — they showed me concrete data to work around with, and they have an understanding of my clients’ needs, and what must be done to meet those. Additionally, they have their strategies in place to ensure that our engagement has a destination.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We’re satisfied with the quality of East & West Inc’s services, but we’ll be grateful if they lower their pricing. Our industry is deeply impacted by the pandemic — we’re only trying to maximize our capital by reaching out to customers in need of office spaces despite the current situation.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Hear them out and be open to the positive solutions they can generate for your business. I originally didn’t want to trust an agency to take charge of my marketing needs, but I’ve come to trust them because they’ve been very transparent and thorough in defining what they can do for my company.

I’m the president of Mymedia Inc, an organization that helps companies communicate with visual display hardware. We deal with anything with digital displays from large video walls to handheld devices. We also integrate and create our own software.

What challenge were you trying to address with East & West Inc?

We branched off and developed a visitor management system in 2016. When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, we pivoted this system into a health screening and temperature scanning system because there was a big demand for it. 

Our company wanted to capitalize on this opportunity and get our message out there as soon as possible. Given that, we did Google Ads in the past, but we never truly saw great results. As a result, we hired East & West to highlight the things we weren’t doing correctly. Then, they made a proposal on how we could do our campaigns more effectively. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We wanted East & West to help us get better results out of our Google Ads campaign. Their team helped us define our message and target demographics to hit more people with less money. In other words, we needed them to laser-focus our efforts and get more conversions.

Moreover, our previous ad efforts were too broad, like spraying bullets without knowing what the target was. To give us more effective messaging, East & West helped us develop multiple landing pages with 6–7 flavors of messages that had good continuity. Using this revamped messaging, we targeted keywords that led users to different landing pages. East & West also gave us directions on how we could harness the benefits of LinkedIn.

At present, they monitor our efforts and address any deficiencies or ideas we might have. We have consultations once a month as they coach us on what to do. Our team doesn’t have the funds to let East & West do all the work since we’re a small company, so we simply ask them to tell us what we’re doing wrong and coach the whole team, including me.

We primarily work with Al-Janabi (CEO). He’s our main point of contact, and his team executes strategies behind the scenes. 

How did you come to work with East & West Inc?

We’d been looking around for a provider for a while when I came across East & West through a networking event. Then, we had a conversation about my company’s pain points. They understood those pain points and advised us on how we could fix them. After that, we decided to partner with them for this campaign.

We’ve spent more than $25,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started the partnership in March 2021, and it’s ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

In terms of PPC metrics, the results aren’t immediate. It takes time for Google to show such results. However, we’ve already started seeing actual conversions, and we’re constantly building upon the success we’ve had. 

Prior to engaging East & West, leads didn’t come to us at the rate that we wanted. Now, not only do we see conversions; we also know which campaigns are working and which ones are not. On top of that, we’ve gained great results and traction on LinkedIn, although they’re not on the same level of success as we have in Google Ads, and this is simply because LinkedIn is more expensive. 

How did East & West Inc perform from a project management standpoint?

Their project management skills are great in terms of identifying our problems, telling us how to fix them, and providing an estimate of when we can expect results. To me, every project is about defining expectations and deliverables, and East & West is extremely professional in those areas. They even have clear charts around when leads should start coming. To communicate, we use Trello. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

East & West can understand our buyers and their pain points. They can get in the heads of our would-be customers and craft content based on that. 

This has changed the way we approach our landing pages and messaging. In other words, their team doesn’t only help us navigate Google Ads well; they also help us shape our value proposition messaging in a better way. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

We were a bit reluctant to start working with East & West because they weren’t cheap. Given that, it would’ve been better if they had a price point that could be described as a starter package. Our engagement could have started sooner if they had that. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be prepared to work harder. It’s like going to the gym with a trainer: you have to be there and work hard. You can let them do all the work, but that costs more money. As such, if you’re engaging them, be serious and ready to work with them. Likewise, be willing to tweak your messaging; be open to different ideas and suggestions. You may be hesitant at first, but try to go with their recommendations.

We needed their team to design our website’s landing pages.

What was the scope of their involvement?

East & West  Inc’s first task for us was designing the content of our website’s landing pages. We’ve also made a couple of e-books that needed the team’s expertise in terms of design strategy. From relying on their design services, we’ve then decided to further the partnership and delve into marketing, including sales funneling, ad budgeting, and ad spend design for our social media pages.

East & West Inc has designed our entire website and its landing pages in that our users are given access to an automated signup process. Apart from creating our marketing campaigns to drive site traffic, we’ve provided them with our credentials to our social media pages, so they can set up and monitor our online ads.

What is the team composition?

We mainly communicate with Abdul (CEO), but we also work with East & West Inc’s designer, marketing specialist, and other resources who are in charge of handling our ads for us.

We found East & West Inc’s team through their Instagram ads.

We’ve spent around $70,000 so far.

We started in August 2020, and our partnership is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’re a young company, but we get 2–3 organic leads a day, both from our ads and our website. East & West Inc’s work has also helped us secure a high domain rating, and that's ultimately helped our revenue grow. We’re pleased to be in an ongoing partnership with their team because they generate more leads and revenue for our startup business.

How did East & West Inc perform from a project management standpoint?

We mainly communicate via Zoom and Google Hangouts. East & West Inc has a smooth workflow, and that makes the project easier for us to manage. Our weekly expectations are always met, so we don’t feel the need to check on them often. They constantly send video updates to let us know what they’re currently working on, and what else they have to work on in the coming weeks.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Abdul is especially helpful in making sure that our collaboration is both successful and simple. His team provides us with solutions that effectively optimize our platforms and forward our campaigns to the right people. Our engagement with East & West Inc doesn’t feel like a mere work relationship, because they also educate us with matters about marketing and design that can benefit our business. Overall, we always appreciate East & West Inc’s straightforward and communicative approach.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They already work systematically, but as a highly organized worker myself, I think we can benefit more from more thorough documentation.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

You have to be as committed as their team if you really want to drive positive results out of your engagement. Apart from that, be aware of the fact that this aspect of marketing, and any of its aspects for that matter, won’t bring results overnight. It takes patience and dedication — their services are also not the cheapest out there, but they’re worth every penny.

I went to them to build my website.

What was the scope of their involvement?

East & West Inc designed and developed my website. They did research to come up with the best user flow, and they consulted me on what content should be on the site. They’ve designed, implemented, and managed social media campaigns.

Their team has done a lot of backend integrations with different tools. We’re all virtual, and we have a lot of tools connected with our backend.

What is the team composition?

I’ve worked with one person from East & West Inc. I don’t know how many people they have assigned, but I understand that there are design, development, and marketing teams in place.

How did you come to work with East & West Inc?

I came across an ad that they ran on social media. I signed up for it, and one of their members called me for a demo.

I was very impressed with what they could do. I remember getting a lot of offers at the time, some of which were better in terms of pricing, but I went with East & West because they showed a lot of flexibility. They could accommodate anything I wanted and understood my needs. I felt that East & West Inc could bring huge value to my company.

I started working with them in April 2020.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I’ve been working with them for around a year across multiple projects, and their delivery has always been consistent.

East & West Inc has always delivered amazing quality, and they’re always professional and accommodating. They go above and beyond what I want.

I started with nothing, and I have a great system now. I got better results than I expected. The KPIs are 50% higher than the targets we agreed on in terms of traffic and leads.

When I launched the site, the feedback from my circle was amazing. They found it to be clean and easy to navigate. They promised to make an easy user experience that was reflected in the marketing campaigns’ conversions.

How did East & West Inc perform from a project management standpoint?

Their communication style has been smooth and easy. I’ve communicated everything to a single point of contact, and he has presented everything. I found it very convenient.

Everything I’ve asked for was done right away. I’ve had to change needs and timelines, and they managed to implement the website with a lot of things that were out of scope. Their team took ownership of the project and made me feel that they were my partner and wanted to see my company succeed.

Whenever something urgent came up, they did it as soon as possible. It would take two days at most, which was great. We communicate through email, phone calls, and text. We have weekly meetings.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’ve worked with a lot of service providers, and the main issue was always not delivering the quality they promised, which would usually lead a lot of back and forth. They understood what I wanted, and they knew exactly what they were doing. Their team delivered a great product in the end.

The second aspect is their time management and commitment to timelines. They have always finished within the deadlines they set. I haven’t found this with any other service provider.

I also appreciate their flexibility in adapting to my needs. A lot of service providers wouldn’t change the way they worked with me or the initial agreement. I changed the scope after I made an agreement with them, and they accommodated me. Other providers would’ve charged me or terminated the contract.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We’re a startup that makes a lot of changes. They never said no to anything. I think that this eventually led to pressure on their side.

It didn’t affect their work quality, but it put a lot of stress on them. Something they could do differently is to stand up to clients like me.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

My advice is not to be scared to work with them. They’re fair, worth every penny the client pays and makes things right.
