I am a project manager and system architect in our company which is a System Integrator and Consultant.

For what projects/services did your company hire EACOMM Corporation, and what were your goals?

Our company focuses on System Integration, particularly the deployment of IT infrastructure such as servers, firewalls, and network cabling. EACOMM was hired to provide the software components required by our client, particularly a custom HR and Payroll System for our client's over one thousand employees.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

EACOMM was referred to us by one of their existing clients and when we met described our requirements, they were confident they can deliver it at an affordable rate having developed similar systems before for a much larger client than ours.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

They did in-depth system analysis taking into account existing ISO documented system process of our client organization. Development Scrums of 2-3 weeks were done to complete the various system modules with an initial Alpha Version release 3 months into the project. Software development was done using NodeJS for the backend, VueJS for the frontend and MongoDB for the database. System was initially developed in a cloud server provided by EACOMM and was migrated into on-premise servers once ready for deployment.

There were 5 people in the team: 1 Project Manager/System Architect 1 Senior Developer 2 Junior Developers 1 QA/Techsupport

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Project was delivered on-time despite the challenges posed by the CoVid Pandemic and the difficulties encountered with lockdowns and work-from-home employees that needed to test the system.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

We were able to meet with EACOMM's team 2-4x a month which we appreciated as we can see the progress of the system regularly and comment immediately if something was amiss. Regular communications via Viber was also done. They also provided a helpdesk module in the system wherein end-users can submit support requests and they can address these as needed.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The project managers made it a point that communications between us and the development team as consistent and smooth. Unlike other vendors who 'hide' or do not allow access to the actual developers. They were very open on potential points of delays and project issues and thus we were able to tackle them early on rather than have the issue grow exponentially.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Given the scope and scale of the system, we were very happy that it was deployed and delivered as smoothly as it was.

We were assigned an experience project manager who created a group chat in viber for rapid communication. Any questions/issues/concerns we had we posted in Viber and response was within 24 hours.
We were very happy on how responsive they were to our requests.
