I am the managing director of 'Eliot Ash' music. We teach music, play live gigs and run an independent record label.

For what projects/services did your company hire Drool Design Studio?

Website and logo design.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

They were very highly rated, reasonably priced and I loved their portfolio of work.

Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.

I sent Alex some content I had in mind for the website and he helped me design a landing page that would drive the audience towards the social media links. He created a logo, a clear and bold web page and all the key information for my cliental.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

I worked with Managing Director Alex Lorimer on this project, but also hope to work with Creative Director Victoria Reis in the future, as I think her work is incredible.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

I saw my social media engagement and following improve and built a larger audience due to having a bold and catchy logo and a website I could direct people towards.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Completely seamless.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The time and care they take with their clients is by far the best experience I've ever had with a digital design company. Of course they were extremely talented and I was blown away by what they produced.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

No improvements I can see, I'd recommend them to anyone looking for digital design.

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m a digital content manager for Therapy in London, a private mental health business. I work in content marketing and do digital content.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Drool Design Studio?

We needed help with the website’s design and SEO. We had an existing site, but it was a complete mess. Overall, we wanted it to look slicker and more professional. Also, we wanted to expand it because we had more people coming on.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Drool Design Studio redesigned our whole WordPress website. They helped us make it much slicker and image-led, rewrite the content, and add many new pages. They designed two new pages for associates. We provided most of the content marketing, and they designed the page around it.

They currently provide SEO services. Drool Design Studio’s team works closely with us to build our SEO. They’ve also made a proposal to expand on all social media platforms, redesign our logo, and help us with branding. We’re excited about it and looking forward to doing it in the future, but we’re not ready just yet. Right now, we’re focusing on other aspects of the business.

What is the team composition?

We mainly work with Alex (Managing Director) and Victoria (Creative Director). We haven’t worked with anyone else so far.

How did you come to work with Drool Design Studio?

A friend recommended them, so it was through word of mouth. Also, I worked with Alex at another company, so I knew how trustworthy he was.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in July 2020, and our relationship is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’re satisfied with the design of our website. Also, organic SEO has really gone up. We’ve probably doubled the number of calls and clicks since the website redesign. Overall, we’ve seen more inquiries.

How did Drool Design Studio perform from a project management standpoint?

It’s fantastic; we have a great project management system in place. It’s all online, so we can check-in and see what’s going on. We also communicate constantly, have regular meetings, and get live notifications whenever they do something. They have a fantastic record.

We use Trello as a project management tool. We typically communicate through Trello, email, or phone calls.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re excellent at taking notes, understanding them depending on the client, and putting them into the website. We completely trust that they’re able to deliver exactly what we explain.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Off the top of my head, there isn’t any negative feedback. Everything we’ve questioned or had problems with, they’ve been quick to fix it.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Have an idea of what you want beforehand, but give them creative freedom at the same time. Hear them out and their ideas — most of the time, they’ll be better than yours.
