    Our Story

    We started Dot The i Studio because we kept seeing the same pattern — businesses investing in a website, launching it, then watching it slowly fall out of sync. We wanted to build a studio that treats websites as ongoing infrastructure, not one-off projects. We're a two-person studio by design. Alec leads strategy and development; Jamie leads design and direction. Both co-founders work on every project, start to finish. We're Webflow Certified Partners, based in Melbourne and Dunedin.

    Every project starts with a discovery phase where we align on goals, audience, and priorities. We define what the website needs to achieve before any design work begins. You’ll work directly with both co-founders throughout — there’s no handoff to a junior team after the initial conversations.

    We keep communication straightforward — regular check-ins, shared design reviews, and personalised Loom walkthroughs at key stages. We’re responsive and transparent, and we make sure you’re never left wondering what’s happening with your project.

    We measure success by whether the website is actually doing its job six months after launch — not just whether it looked good on launch day. Most of our clients move to our ongoing Website Evolution retainer, which tells us the initial build delivered enough value to warrant continued investment.
