We’re a two-store operation in Arkansas that sells power equipment.

We needed someone to run our IT systems.

What was the scope of their involvement?

He works with us and our vendors on websites, computer systems, and communication. When we have multiple brands, you sometimes need help to make sure it works. For example, we just installed a new web-based business software system and he’s involved in implementation and teaching us how to use it.

What is the team composition?

He worked with a couple of people.

How did you come to work with DK Jones and Company?

David (Owner) and I have been longtime friends. We’ve stayed in contact and we trust him with computer systems and software.

How much have you invested with them?

It’s around $20,000–$30,000 per year.

What is the status of this engagement?

He started helping in September of 2017 and the work is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

As for the IT department, David is an employee of our company. It’s completely seamless—when one of our vendors needs input, David can tap into the system remotely. When we were starting, they committed to making sure we had a great opening day by working long hours. That’s an invaluable service.

How did DK Jones and Company perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re very knowledgeable and helpful people. I can pick up the phone and call him 24/7. Even on a weekend, I get a quick response to a text, email, or phone call.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re local people and have local folks in mind.  

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I can’t think of anything.

If you’re starting a business in our area, there’s no one better I could recommend.
