I'm the president of a manufacturing company.

What challenge were you trying to address with DIT Web Solutions Inc.?

We were looking for a vendor to help us with our design and development needs.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We work with DIT on a project-by-project basis. Usually, we have a particular vision for each project and they help us implement it. Some of the projects they’ve helped us with were website design and app development. We had two web applications–an estimating app and an engineering app, which we had programmed ourselves. DIT developed a mobile version for both apps. In addition, they designed entire websites for us and made small changes to our existing websites.

What is the team composition?

I have two main points of contact.

How did you come to work with DIT Web Solutions Inc.?

We're a consortium of six different manufacturing companies that are independent and privately owned. One of our consortium members had worked with DIT in the past, so they referred us.

How much have you invested with them?

We've spent between $200,000–$1 million.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in January 2013 and the relationship is ongoing.

They've met our expectations and we continue working with them on various projects.

They're very good at planning and developing a clear schedule. Also, they've stayed within our budget and met our deadlines.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I worked with a similar company in the past and I feel that DIT is giving me a better value. They try very hard to do what they say they would and exceed our expectations.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Sometimes, it feels that the work comes to me straight from a programmer, before it's reviewed by someone from a strategic point of view.

I definitely recommend them.
