I work for Pelican Commerce. We help customers shift their existing websites over to Shopify while retaining their existing SEO equity.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with The Heroes Group?

We were looking for somebody that worked with our current accounting software, Xero. Many companies use QuickBooks, but we decided against that. The Heroes Group already understood Xero, so it saved us a lot of time teaching them the system and how to run the proper reports. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We use them for accounting. We have them do specific filings for 1099 and annual filings for the IRS.

What is the team composition?

We’ve worked with a few people over the years, but primarily we work with one account manager.

How did you come to work with The Heroes Group?

We decided to start working with them when we discovered them online. That’s how we saw they were certified in Xero.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent less than $10,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in March 2015.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Their team is full of young, tech-savvy people. They understand modern accounting software, but they’re willing to try newer technologies. They also have a positive attitude.

The Heroes Group understands what a modern business needs. Our relationship has been successful. We can send them a request, and it just gets taken care of.

How did The Heroes Group perform from a project management standpoint?

They use a CRM. Since they have all of our records, they can easily access anything we’ve sent them.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re more of a modern accounting firm. They work with a lot of online service providers.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I haven’t seen anything that they can improve upon.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

If they’re looking to move from QuickBooks to Xero, they’re the right accounting firm to use. If they’re looking for people that understand the online world, The Heroes Group is also the best place for that.
