We needed someone to provide custom software development.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Digital Order developed our custom software, which is a long-term rental module. It takes care of the billing and invoicing of those cars that are rented on a long-term basis (a long-term rental refers to a rental of somewhere between one month to one year).

They utilized .NET, PHP, and MySQL to build the platform, which is a mobile Android app with a desktop dashboard. They also provided training to effectively use the module.

The product allows you to assign a particular chauffeur for a particular car. Every day, the chauffeur can upload the mileage and run-times of the car. At the end of the month, he can consolidate the mileage and bill the customer appropriately.

What is the team composition?

Initially, my point of contact was the director of the company, who would come into my office. Lately, they’ve deployed one resource who’s managing our training stage. Once the contract is built out, we can begin working independently.

The director is a key figure. He’s very familiar and knowledgeable about our car rental services, and this expertise in our field is the reason we hired them for our project.

We’ve spent roughly $20,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in July 2019, and the work is ongoing.

We’re still in the stage of uploading customer contracts onto the platform, but we’ve been very happy with their work.

They stand our from the crowd because they’re knowledgeable of the car rental business. We haven’t had any problems or challenges. The resource we have in our office is very dedicated.
