I’m the CEO of Dejourneys. We are a travel company that started operations in 2016. The destinations we have include Turkey, Malaysia, Thailand, Paris, and other places.

What challenge were you trying to address with Digital Knot?

When we came into the Pakistani market in 2016, we needed help with digital marketing.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

At that time, the competition was not that high, and not many people were using digital marketing services in Pakistan. We initially started with social media and Facebook marketing services. Then, we added Google Ads, and since the client’s response was very good, we kept on doing digital marketing with them.

We also asked them to build our website, which was built on WordPress. In Pakistan, e-commerce platforms are not that mature, so we wanted to create a portal where our customers could create their product packages. They introduced us to WordPress as a CMS so we can change the website by ourselves. That was the main reason behind using WordPress.

Currently, Digital Knot provides digital marketing services, including Facebook marketing, Google Ads, YouTube, and Instagram marketing. We started using their website traffic service, but the response was not as good in our markets, so we stopped it.

What is the team composition?

We have worked with 3–4 people, including their social media expert, an SEO expert, and the developer who created the website’s initial graphic design and developed part of the website.

How did you come to work with Digital Knot?

At that time, we were a startup agency, and when we compared prices in terms of services, we found that Digital Knot was the best in the market. The services they offered as well as the price were the best, and they were very dedicated.

How much have you invested in them?

We have invested approximately $50,000–$60,000 over five years.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together at the start of 2017, and they continue doing our digital marketing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

In the 4–5 years of working with Digital Knot, we have gained most of our sales through their services. We are very satisfied with the quality and the price they offer us. On the development side, we did not give them too much work.

When it comes to branding, the graphics, appearance, and layout are very good. We are a company in Pakistan that has been recognized from a design aspect. In Pakistan, E-Commerce buying is not that common, so we didn’t have much of that experience, but as far as social media marketing (SMM) and digital marketing are concerned, we have been very satisfied with the work they have offered us. They have created a unique branding image in the market.

How did Digital Knot perform from a project management standpoint?

Whatever they have committed to, they have fulfilled. Sometimes, when they have a high workload, they have missed their targets, but they have mostly been on time. In the time that we have been working with them, we have built a strong relationship, so this hasn’t been much of an issue for us. We usually communicate through WhatsApp, email, or phone calls.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Whenever you tell them what you want to achieve, they are very confident, and they always offer new options — their innovation is good.

Are there any areas they could improve?

One thing they could improve on is the quality of their communication. I have referred them to other clients as well, and the communication has been fine; however, because they have so much workload, there were times when they didn’t fulfill their work for us. We’ve had the relationship for 4–5 years, and we are very satisfied.  

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

When it comes to SMM, you can trust them. As far as website development, whatever we have asked them to make for us, they have done. I refer them to other people whenever someone is in the innovation phase or wants to build a brand image. Their overall team management, quality, and relationship building are very good.
