BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the owner and founder of NTC Lifeworks. I founded the company in honor and memory of my two children who committed suicide in 2016; I spread the word about what I’ve learned as a result of losing my children. My primary function was speaking on resiliency, but after the COVID-19 pandemic, I found I had the skills and knowledge to help young entrepreneurs be more successful in their early years.

What challenge were you trying to address with Digital House Media?

I’m not a web developer, so I knew better than trying to do it myself. I needed someone to develop a website and web presence for me.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Digital House Media has developed our website from scratch. One of the features is the in the middle of the page. When someone looks at our services, there are boards that they can hover over to read more; the flip panels rotate the image to the description and shows clickable links. They’ve also added a shopping cart.

They initially worked on developing the brand colors and website wireframes. Then, they built the site. Digital House Media currently does maintenance.

What is the team composition?

We only speak with Melissa (Founder & CEO). She has other team members, but we’ve only dealt with her.

How did you come to work with Digital House Media?

We found them through networking and referrals. Other colleagues recommended them.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve probably spent between $20,000–$30,000. We pay $75 a month for maintenance.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in January 2020, and they launched the website in April 2020. However, our relationship is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They’re very patient, responsive, and insightful. Their ideas are very spot on, and they're great at translating their vision into something actionable. We can come to her with nebulous ideas, and Digital House Media creates our vision into a beautiful finished product.

How did Digital House Media perform from a project management standpoint?

Project management is spot on. They communicate at every stage and keep the project on schedule as much as possible based on our availability. They’ve wrangled us to get everything done.

We mainly communicate through emails and occasional texts. We’ve also had face-to-face meetings, Zoom meetings, and phone calls.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They understand what we’re trying to communicate and turn it into something visual and interactive.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I have no complaints. They’re awesome.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Don’t be shy about doing a brain dump; they’ll sort through it and make sense of it.
