What challenge were you trying to address with Digimonk Solutions?

I knew that the platform would be helpful for artists trying to gain recognition, followers, and money from their work, but I didn’t have the development experience needed to actually build out the service. I was looking for a company that could develop the software based on what I wanted.

What was the scope of their involvement?

When we first started working together, we just planned to build a mobile app for iOS. I sent Digimonk some rough drawings of how I envisioned the design, along with a description of what I wanted the app to do, and they got to work on it. 

Digimonk completed the first app in 3–4 months. We spent some more time testing the app by sending it out to people and getting feedback. During this, Digimonk sent me some more ideas about features that they wanted to add and critiques they had about the direction I had laid out. They knew a lot more about the digital market than I did — they were able to guide me through a realm that was unfamiliar to me at the time. 

After we finished the main development on the iOS and Android versions of the app, Digimonk also built the platform out on desktop. In the future, I am planning to work with them on a digital marketing campaign, as well. 

What is the team composition?

I worked most closely with Hitendrasinh (CEO & Founder). He had a team working under him on my project, but I don’t know the details of their composition.

I found Digimonk through an online freelancing service. 

How much have you invested with them?

I’ve invested around $10,000 with them so far.

What is the status of this engagement?

I started working with Digimonk in January 2019, and our engagement is ongoing.
 

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We had a couple dozen artists get started with the platform when we were rolling it out, but I set the project to the side when COVID-19 hit. I’m hoping that we can bring on even more users with a marketing campaign in the future. 

There were never any crashes or serious issues with the app itself. There were a couple of glitches in the beginning, but Digimonk fixed them almost immediately. 

How did Digimonk Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?

Digimonk has done a great job with project management, and they’ve been very punctual. They’ve kept in touch regularly during the development using Trello and Skype — they send screenshots of progress, ideas of things that they wanted to add, and so on. Throughout the process, they’ve really held my hand and made me a lot more comfortable. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

What’s been most impressive is their enthusiasm and ability to complete my project.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They should continue to do what they’re doing — it’s really working for me. I can really only say good things about Digimonk.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Make sure to come to the table with an idea of what you’re looking for. Digimonk does a great job of guiding the project and molding what it will become, but that process will be smoother if they have direction.

I would say we’ve spent almost $10,000 on their services.

We started collaborating in December 2020, and it’s still ongoing.

They've done about six apps for us. We always go back and forth to make sure everything is working correctly with our clients, and that's how we measure the impact. 

How did Digimonk Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?

Digimonk Solutions are great with communication. They communicate with us through messaging, phone calls, and Skype, and their response time is incredible. Each day, they usually respond within minutes of asking something. They are on top of things, and they are careful with their work.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’m definitely impressed with their response time and the speed of their work. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

There hasn't been anything that I think they should improve on, and we really enjoy working with them. 

Any advice for potential customers?

Digimonk Solutions is definitely the best overseas partner that we've found.

We hired Digimonk to create our first mobile app for our company. We wanted to have a mobile app wherein users can easily find apartments and houses using the app.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We have been working with them on several projects in the past already. And every time, they deliver on time and the work is superb.

We started with technical requirements, then we had some calls regarding UI/UX. Then we continued with developing the backend and at the same time, started the development of the mobile app using flutter.

We hired 4 people(1 graphic, 1 Project manage, 1 backend, 1 mobile)

We gained new users through the app which were able to use it conveniently.

The project manager is very responsive and keeps us updated with the progress. We mainly communicate via slack and trello.

The team members are expert on the skills needed. They valued timeliness without compromising the quality of their work.

Digimonk suggested several points that were helpful with our app.

We took bids from many vendors on oDesk. Digimonk had high rankings and relevant experience. They answered our questionnaire very well.

Android/map based/geofencing app with offline (sync) capabilities and custom workflow. Developed in an agile fashion with small iterations. Deliverables were/are a series of small releases. Developed in Android Studio/Java.

We worked with on PM/lead developers but others were behind the scenes.

Work is high quality, when they say its done/working it generally is.

We use Trello for project management and they work with it well. We had bi-weekly slacks as well. There was never a communication issue.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Digimonk Solutions has been getting the job done without any fuss. No extra communication. No complaints. Every easy to work with even though our requirements/specifications were not always the best.

They have really done everything we've asked.

They’re doing great so far but I believe if they expand more it would be useful if they hire project managers.
