BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

I am CEO of TestSharing, a New York based Food-X and SOSV backed food-tech startup. We build a platform for consumers to give them easy access to professional food testing on pesticides and heavy metal contaminants.

For what projects/services did your company hire DevsEngine?

We had to change several features in our mobile app and needed a well organized development team to help do it efficiently.

What were your goals for this project?

We needed certain new features implemented on certain deadlines and we needed someone to improve our deployment process.

How did you select this vendor?

We previously talked to 2 other developers and finally chose DevsEngine because of their very efficient and transparent way to structure their work. The communication was super friendly and helpful. It was an excellent choice.

Describe the project in detail.

We had a couple of meetings to discuss the approach and go through the single steps before the development work started. The project manager was a great help in breaking down the overall goals into most efficient steps.

The development work included app payment method challenges, implementation of event tracking in Android and IOS, integration with different services, a customized admin panel, etc.

What was the team composition?

We were mainly working with the project manager and 2 specialized developers. Planning and progress was tracked and discussed in our weekly meetings. For quick questions every member of the team was always available through chat.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We were able to, among other features, launch a completely new on-boarding process and a new subscription model on time.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The workflow was very smooth. We applied an agile project method and it worked very well. The project manager is very familiar with the scrum approach and sticks to it.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I was particularly impressed by their knowledge, structured work and creativity. They always brought points to attention which I had overseen. They really thought every detail through thoroughly.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Everything went very smoothly. The only thing is that we had to hire a designer separately, as at that time DevsEngine didn't have an in-house designer yet. I am sure by now they have that covered too!
