Recruitment of a full-stack developer for automation of internal processes using Apache AirFlow and ChatGPT. The full-stack developer was primarily needed to build our software automation for internal company processes. These were intended to save time for the team. For the toolset, because of popularity we initially picked Apache AirFlow and ChatGPT, and also asked for a front-end dashboard or a panel to display the most critical information. 

We wanted to complete the recruitment process within 2 months as the technology solution to be built was expected to have a big impact on the team. The main deliverable included in the contract and scope of work was obviously the successful placements of the technical specialist we’ve been searching for. In addition, we’ve been provided with notes from each and every interview stage of every candidate that was recommended to us (from both, behavioral interview stage as well as the technical one).

Our success is evident in the fact that we hired the rare IT specialist we needed in under two months, which was our goal.

We were expanding and needed to find an agency that specializes in recruitment in Eastern Europe and is experienced with sourcing developers from regions with similar time zones. After researching and talking with different companies, we decided to proceed with DevsData based on their relevant experience and communication. Once the initial paperwork was completed, we scheduled a meeting with the agency. 

During this meeting, the recruitment team delved into the details by asking thorough questions about our needs, including technical questions, and advised how to adjust our requirements based on what the market offers. The vendor remained in constant communication throughout, which included conducting interviews to evaluate both the candidates' personality traits and technical skills. 

Our collaboration extended over a span of 2 months, during which we successfully recruited and onboarded the new technical team member. This process ensured that we were able to find individuals who not only possessed the right skills but also aligned with our company culture and values. Our teamwork went smoothly. We got regular updates and waited for the vetted candidates from the agency.

Overall, it was a very effective and successful process. Deadlines were met, and we're fully satisfied with the solution provided, as well as the way the project was managed. To be honest, I was not the one responsible for making the decision in the first place. I was involved in the process in the interview stages, not before them. As far as I know, DevsData has been one of our approved recruitment agencies for quite some time

As a senior Machine Learning engineer at Amazon, I'm deeply involved in the company's interview efforts. The process is really comprehensive, depending on the seniority level, often comprised of 6 stages on our end with a relatively low hit rate. I was really surprised when I received two exceptionally good candidates in a row. I was curious where they came from and contacted the HR department. They informed me that the candidates are from an external agency called DevsData

I only met DevsData’s representatives after the project when we hired them to work on our other recruitments. There I can say, that we always met with a business development specialist and a recruitment team lead. Later on, we've involved them in our other internal recruitment processes at Amazon. The roles included mostly Machine Learning engineers, Python developers, natural language processing specialists and project managers. I'm very satisfied with all the hires and highly recommend DevsData further.

Like I wrote before, I’ve met DevsData only after the Machine Learning recruitment to bring them in on other processes. What I can say, however, is that since then, working with them has been a pleasure, they are communicative and work very transparently, which is not to be understated because some recruitment agencies do not contact you until they’ve got a candidate they think you will appreciate, whereas DevsData is continually perfecting the candidate’s profiles in order to find the best ones possible.

My team was in need of an internal software application for the purpose of running visualizations on equipment in the electrical grid to facilitate faster design of new projects for our clients - the rising volume and scale of our projects made it virtually impossible for us to deliver without a new software solution.

We've interviewed a couple of software & IT consulting vendors and decided to move forward with DevsData because of their effort to deeply understand our business case. In addition, we've seen their portfolio and they had experience in similar projects in the past, so we felt secure in their ability to perform.

In order to build the system properly, a close collaboration with senior technicians and electricians was required, along with some basic understanding of these subject areas. DevsData brought in an expert from their side and consulted with us mainly on the integration matters, which freed up a lot of time for us, not having to explain everything related to our industry to them. We scheduled regular meetings two times a week. During those calls, they updated me on the progress and any issues they've encountered with the system integration. We would discuss together how to connect the new software with the existing solutions and then they would start working on what we came up with.

However, most of the time, there were no problems, so the calls were brief - they just brought me up to speed on the new developments and went back to work. The project was finished quickly, my requirements and directions were well-comprehended and transformed into a functional system. The software works excellent, perfectly smooth, and is very efficient. It is a massively helpful tool in our business and after deploying it, we were able to cut the design times significantly.

We've started with a team of two senior back-end engineers in Ruby, one senior front-end developer in React, along with a project manager and a QA tester. In addition to that there was the electrical engineer and people from our side, contributing to the project basically as consultants. We successfully implemented the visualisation software, it works seamlessly with the electrical grid and doesn't run into any issues when categorising the equipment. Our design times for our projects went down significantly, so we achieved our goal in full and that's definitely a success.

We worked together really well. Even though I was not directly involved in actually coding the software, I was kept in the loop at all times. My role was more like the role of a consultant, to make sure that their system would be compatible with our existing ones, but as I said, I still had access to all the files, schedules, meetings, etc. I even saw the meeting notes from the calls I was not present on. They pride themselves on their transparency and truly live up to that promise.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I was really impressed when DevsData involved a subject matter expert (an electrical specialist) from their end to help them discuss the business case. That's what clearly stood out from all the other vendors, because none of them brought such an expert to the first meetings, and that's why we chose DevsData. I continue to recommend the software services DevsData provides. Willingness to deeply understand the specific business case, in addition to high software technical skills, is where they clearly shine.

The main scope of my companies is the short and long-term leasing of residential and vacation units. I operate only on highly competitive, seaside markets in Israel, Poland and Spain. Indeed. Shortly after the developer set up the finished website on our server, we started seeing increased interest in our apartments, which allowed us to gain an edge on the highly competitive markets we operate in. Part of this success are landing pages prepared by the developer, which are well adjusted to the Google marketing algorithm. Fast loading landings consisting of very relevant content allowed our ads to obtain an impressive quality score, making the marketing campaign very cost-effective and efficient in bringing potential customers. Traffic on the website and positive feedback from our customers made our offer also more visible on external booking websites. All of these factors have contributed to significant growth in the number of our customers.

The workflow was seamless; the developer has quickly adjusted to the communication tools we use in our company. During his office hours, he has always responded to all of our questions within seconds. We have created a chat group specifically for this project, where myself, our back-end developer and DevsData's front-end expert have communicated in all matters regarding the website design. The developer's soft skills were very impressive, given his technical background.
