We did not waste any time as time was of the essence for me, I needed the solution created as soon as possible and for that, I needed those developers. I received daily updates on the process and I was being sent CVs of potential candidates, which helped us elaborate on the candidates' profile. We narrowed down the search in accordance with the created profile and the moment DevsData had a promising person, they informed me.
Not two weeks have gone by, and they came to me with two developers ready and eager to start working. I had quick interviews with both of them and they left a good impression. It turned out I was right, and so was DevsData because their engineering skills were exceptional. That was the end of DevsData's part because after that, I hired them and we started working on the scraping mechanism.

DevsData provided me with an amazing front-end developer - a professional with high qualifications and over eight years of experience. I was delighted with him. I was looking for a company that has considerable experience in running technical recruitment processes. I went through a couple of websites and came upon DevsData. After reading the information on their webpage, I decided to contact them.

Firstly we sat on a call to see whether this cooperation would be a match. We thoroughly discussed our needs, precisely determined our expectations regarding developers' experience, skills, etc. The person on the call clearly explained everything, explained the steps of the recruitment and the overall workflow and communication between the agency and us, presented the people responsible for the recruitment and told us that they will start looking for such developers after the call.
In about a week we received first information about the candidates that could be a fit. After a couple of weeks, we received over a dozen candidates who passed all the recruitment's steps including algorithm tests and tech interviews. Thanks to that, the only thing left to do for us was to screen through the candidates and select the best of them to work with us.

DevsData recruited exceptional PHP developers for my company. I was really impressed not just with their technical skills, but also with the level of communication and business consulting expertise to a certain extent. This is a hugely important aspect for my company as we are a software agency consulting for international US-based clients. I was really struggling with finding the talent before, receiving a significant volume of applicants from our internal channels. However, the vast majority of profiles were just not good enough.

How did you select this firm and what were the deciding factors?
I was searching for a recruitment agency and just happened to stumble upon DevsData’s website. I scheduled a call with them and when I saw that they’ve recruited people for founders like me and that they’ve done MVP themselves for other companies, I was convinced that they knew exactly who I was looking for.

First, I had a meeting with DevsData to decide if I wanted to go forward with them as my recruitment agency. When I made my decision I described to them exactly what kind of product I needed to be built and they made a list of technologies needed to develop it, how much time would each feature take, etc.
During 2 or 3 calls they helped me improve the idea for my MVP. As they had experience in developing such solutions, they were able to help me realise what features are not needed and which ones I should add - after those calls I was much more confident in my MVP than before. When the scope of the project was finished, DevsData started the recruitment process.
A few weeks went by and two candidates were recommended to me, having passed the vetting process, technical interviews, etc. I wanted to interview them myself, and I also had a friend who is an experienced developer test their algorithmic skills once again (DevsData conducted a list of algorithmic challenges and an in-depth technical interview, details of which I received).
Both of the engineers fared very well on each of the meetings, as promised by the agency, and I decided to hire them. Next, the three of us got to work on the MVP. The process went quite smoothly, to be honest I expected it to be much harder but I was not complaining. When we were finished, I pitched the product to investors and they loved it, invested in the company and thanks to that, I was able to expand my business.

After finishing the project, I went on to pitch my idea to investors and ended up receiving further funding. They loved the MVP of the product and invested in future growth of my company. The engineers became part of my team after delivering the MVP and are working in the company to this day.

I had a great time working with the two developers, they were able to turn my idea into reality in the shortest time possible. And when it comes to DevsData’s recruitment team, I definitely have no complaints. I was kept in the loop and in general I am glad that I chose them.

Honestly, I was shocked that only two people, recruited by an agency in a few weeks might I add, would be enough to deliver an MVP in such a short amount of time. Of course, I am extremely happy with the results and consider this to be a lucky period of time. I hired them to develop a big data solution for one of our US clients using Hadoop and other tools. We are a digital marketing company and don’t typically offer such services.

We needed a solution that offers both batch and streaming processing, space where we could organize our data and run complex data analysis. We wanted our environment to be properly secured, therefore all data nodes were encrypted, the environment was Kerberised, and access to the cluster was managed by access policies. Our client wanted to quickly and reliably get data into the system, and then proceed to work on solo channel marketing efforts with customers using BI dashboards directly from Hadoop.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We’ve interviewed numerous software agencies that we're able to provide us with such type of a solution. The aspect in which DevsData stood out was their track record - they convinced us that they would develop a solution without any issues or delays. We felt confident in them, and we were right. They did a great job.
Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.
Firstly, I had a call with Natalie who is responsible for business development at DevsData. During the next calls there was always a team lead developer present. After 3 or 4 meetings we had a complete scope of the solution and the team started working. For the next few months we had scheduled weekly meetings with the team. During those calls, they would update us on the work progress, then proceed to discuss, with great details, different ways on how to apply the solution at the current development stage and find the one that fits our needs best.

The development team was led by Łukasz, there were also 2 other developers working with him, and a BI specialist. The whole project was coordinated by Marta, who was the project manager. From our company, I was present at the weekly meetings and also one person from our technical team, but we were there mostly to be kept in the loop.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
The Hadoop solution they provided was exceptional, and the US client was more than happy. To my knowledge, they still use it today. It was definitely well-spent money.

We created the whole scope of the solution at the beginning of the process. It was then that I was first impressed by the knowledge of their technical team, especially Luke and Daniel. After having the entire implementation plan drawn out, it was a matter of execution. DevsData had almost no delays. Issues along the way were sorted out rapidly. We were kept in the loop at all times about what the project status is exactly.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Like I said, I like their knowledge and experience, as it is top-notch. They were able to plan every single detail of the development process and stick to it. It really showed that they knew what they were doing and were focused 100% on delivering a great solution. What also impressed me was that they were able to suggest improvements to the original set of requirements resulting in a more modern, well-thought-out Big Data infrastructure.
