 I'm the director of a company that develops medical devices for neurological monitoring.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenges were you trying to address with Devincs?

 We needed help developing a Bluetooth dongle to enhance connectivity and performance for a wearable sensor system.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

 Devincs developed a Bluetooth dongle to overcome PC latency issues caused by the Windows Bluetooth stack. The goal was to provide a reliable central hub for connecting and managing multiple wearable sensors and enable efficient data streaming from multiple devices to a Python app via USB/serial. Devincs used the Nordic nRF52840 dongle (Zephyr-based) to support connections with at least 10 devices (scalable to 20). The team implemented GATT communication (custom services + standard battery service) with a maxiMTU size of 517 bytes. Moreover, Devincs defined a serial command interface for scan control, device connection management, and GATT characteristic operations. The team provided clear host–dongle communication through structured acknowledgments, notifications, and error codes. As deliverables, Devincs provided the source code for the Bluetooth dongle firmware, a list of libraries and SDKs used in the implementation, and a compilation of error codes (documented and explained for reference).

 We found Devincs on Upwork. We chose them because they had fast responses to our initial contact and asked very informed technical questions about the project.

What is the status of this engagement?

 We worked together in August 2025.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

 Devincs delivered source code that we validated running on our hardware. We also observed improvements in device connection numbers and latency, which met our specifications.

How did Devincs perform from a project management standpoint?

 Devincs's project management was effective; the team delivered on time. We communicated via WhatsApp.

What did you find most impressive about them?

 Devincs was very technically knowledgeable and able to operate with a high degree of autonomy.

Are there any areas they could improve?

 I didn't think there was anything they could improve on.
