A Java/JSP-based online service had been running for years without being updated was forced to be moved to the cloud. Updating all libs, dependencies and code was not an option in the short timeframe available, and the original coding team was history. 

DevGrid managed to migrate the running platform to AWS with small changes to the code, and added https support at the same time. We ended up with lower running costs and a very stable system with automated backups, in a secure environment.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

System up and running on new platform, serving existing customers, who were olivious to the migration. Short delivery time. No downtime for almost 3 years

Work was performed iteratively in an agile fashion: project management by us, team management by DevGrid, everyone in the loop, frequent review and planning meetings. When working like this you inspect and adapt, the team delivered above expectations.

We were impressed with the breadth of their skills and competencies. They also know AWS.

More visibility between meetings (but I'm not looking for micromanagement).

Integrations are an important part of our product, but takes in-house engineering time away from enhancing our own product. We hired DevGrid to build and maintain the integrations between our product and a number technology and data providers. They worked alongside our engineers, product managers, and QA.

Several new integrations built and a few integrations removed from our core code.
