Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the CEO and Co-founder of Yappi Group, a corporate English training Ecosystem serving over 500 corporate clients. We tailor our courses to business needs, combining teacher-led lessons, digital tools, and personalized support to help employees use English effectively at work.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with DevCats?

We needed a technology partner to develop, maintain, and support our digital ecosystem. This included full-stack development, security, server maintenance, monthly product updates, tools for collaboration across teams, and ongoing IT support.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

DevCats has developed and maintained our digital ecosystem, including the yCloud platform, two websites, server infrastructure, and security. They have shaped the system’s architecture in collaboration with our internal teams. Their work includes authentication, student and HR modules, speaking club functionality, and dedicated accounts and tools for teachers, account managers, methodologists, and other internal staff.

We’ve worked with 2–5 teammates from DevCats.

How did you come to work with DevCats?

Our partners recommended DevCats. We chose them because they were based nearby, were a good cultural fit, and shared our company’s values.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with DevCats in November 2010, and our engagement is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

DevCats has built IT infrastructure that supports our business processes and continues to improve it as our needs evolve. Their work has helped us deliver products faster and improve communication between teachers, internal teams, students, and corporate clients, strengthening our competitive position. During our partnership, we have grown from serving 500 students to more than 6,000. DevCats helped us transition from offline to fully online services during the COVID-19 pandemic and establish an online publishing operation for learning materials and coursebooks. We have reduced product delivery times and handled growing demand without a proportional increase in team size. We also value their responsiveness and proactive approach to security and business continuity. For example, they moved our servers abroad when the Russian invasion threatened Kyiv in 2022. They continue to maintain our CRM and the wider IT ecosystem despite ongoing external disruptions. DevCats understands how technology needs to support our business. Their contribution has helped us scale, improve efficiency, and keep our services running through difficult circumstances.

DevCats delivers on time and works well with our internal teams. We communicate through in-person and virtual meetings, email, and messaging apps.
