For what projects/services did your company hire Fiona O’Farrell Creative?

The project was to design a user friendly terminal map for the companies container base at Dublin Port.

What were your goals for this project?

To help improve safety on the terminal.

A brief was given to Fiona along with several of the existing maps that were in use. From these I was given various options to consider.

What was the team composition?

I primarily dealt with Fiona for most of the project and after the options for the map were finished they were approved by the general manager.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

It’s had a positive feedback and helped traffic flow in what is a very busy terminal.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Very effective, as Fiona was easy to deal with and had a great understanding of what I wanted out of her design. Efficient and quick response through mostly email.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Attention to detail. They are prompt, friendly and very knowledgeable in regards to graphic design.

Are there any areas for improvement?

No, everything in the brief was met.

For what projects/services did your company hire The Design Department, and what were your goals?

We were looking to develop a logo for our climate change communications as well as expand our brand's colour palette.

How did you select The Design Department?

I approached a few different organisations with the work I needed to get done and after an initial conversation with the Design Department, I decided to go with them.

Describe the scope of their work in detail, including any steps and the final deliverables.

I gave Fiona the details of the work I wanted done, including initial sketches and background information. From there, she did a draft logo and colour palette which we refined and finalised.

I worked directly with Fiona.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

We initially discussed the project over the phone and followed up over email where we fine tuned them. Fiona was very quick and responsive in all her communications.

The team has easily understood what we are looking for in this work.
