Please describe your company and your position there.

We are an Electrical Power Distribution Utility. My position is an Information security engineer and Risk Assessor

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire DataPatrol?

We were looking for a company that provides a solution to cover a security gap of End Users screens Cameras capturing. So we wanted to have a centrally managed solution that can watermarks all end users screens with capability to define polices per group of users.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We searched online for Digital Watermark solutions and after market survey, we have found a lot of references for Datapatrol as well as having high ranking, especially that for Digital watermark there is no well known competitor to them which provided the same level technical functionalities that we desired

Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.

Datapatrol team started the project by asking about some prerequisites to deploy the essential servers for the solution, after deploying the database and API server as this process took only a single day we started the testing phase of deploying the agent on one of our departments and created some watermarking polices which have been tested thoroughly on these End machines.

After the testing phase and ensuring that everything is matching our expectations we moved in to production which was a very smooth deployment. Them we came up to fine tuning and optimization phase to pick polices per groups and depending on the needs. Lastly we had a knowledge transfer session for system administration

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

We had three main resources worked with us. One project manager and two professional services engineers

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

After deploying the solution we have felt the awareness level change on all employees as they are know dealing with any information that appears on their screen as if it is a persona information and very confidential especially that their names and relevant Hostnames appear on the screen. This really reduced the burden of the data leak by camera captures or any other inconvenient way.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Datapatrol team was so cooperative, knowledgeable and helpful as they have even kept the assistance after project delivery.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Being very easy to manage, stable and really reducing the risk posture of Insider threats. Moreover, their price was very reasonable compared to other solutions.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Not much, as before in the previous versions there were no agents Update and patching center, which they have added it in the latest version.
