What challenge were you trying to address with Dancing Numbers?

We needed a reliable data migration service to move from Sage to QuickBooks Desktop.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Dancing Numbers managed the end-to-end migration process. This included extracting all relevant financial data from Sage, cleaning and formatting it for compatibility, and importing it into QuickBooks Desktop. Their deliverables included the complete transfer of our customer, vendor, chart of accounts, invoices, payments, and transaction history, along with validation reports to ensure accuracy.

How did you come to work with Dancing Numbers?

We found Dancing Numbers through an online search. We chose them because they offered specialized expertise in QuickBooks data migration, had transparent pricing, and demonstrated a clear understanding of the complexities involved in moving from Sage to QuickBooks Desktop.

What is the status of this engagement?

The project lasted from March–April 2024.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We successfully migrated all our financial data from Sage to QuickBooks Desktop with 100% accuracy, zero data loss, and minimal downtime. The transition allowed our accounting team to start working in QuickBooks immediately, improving efficiency and reducing manual reconciliation work by over 30%.

After the migration, our monthly reconciliation time dropped from approximately 20 hours to just under 14 hours, representing a 30% improvement in efficiency. Additionally, error rates in financial reporting decreased by around 25% due to the clean and accurate data transfer.

These improvements allowed our finance team to close books faster, allocate more time to strategic financial analysis, and provide management with timely, accurate reports. This has led to quicker decision-making, better cash flow management, and improved overall operational efficiency.

What did you find most impressive about them?

What impressed us most was their deep technical knowledge of both Sage and QuickBooks, combined with their ability to explain complex migration processes in simple terms. Their attention to detail and commitment to ensuring data accuracy made the entire experience stress-free.

Are there any areas they could improve?

The only improvement we could suggest would be providing more post-migration training materials or quick reference guides to help our team maximize QuickBooks features from day one.
