Identify vulnerabilities in externally and/or internally accessible systems, applications, APIs, cloud services, identity systems, and supporting infrastructure. Validate whether identified weaknesses can be exploited under the approved rules of engagement. Assess authentication, authorization, session management, access-control enforcement, and privilege boundaries. Evaluate the exposure of sensitive data, credentials, secrets, tokens, configuration files, and administrative interfaces. Assess attack paths that could allow unauthorized access, privilege escalation, lateral movement, or compromise of critical business services. Provide prioritized, actionable remediation guidance supported by technical evidence. Perform a limited retest of agreed remediation items, if included in this SOW.

The project achieved its intended objectives by completing the penetration-testing engagement on schedule, validating the organization’s security posture across the approved scope, and delivering clear, prioritized remediation actions. The assessment provided measurable evidence of both risk reduction opportunities and improved operational readiness.

Completed testing of 100% of approved in-scope assets, including identified external-facing applications, APIs, infrastructure components, identity services, and privileged-access workflows. Identified and validated security findings using a risk-based approach, with findings categorized by severity and mapped to affected systems, technical impact, business risk, and remediation recommendations. Delivered critical and high-risk findings through the defined escalation process within the agreed notification window, enabling security and application teams to begin corrective action before issuance of the final report. Produced an executive report and detailed technical report that gave leadership a clear view of overall risk, while providing engineering teams reproducible evidence and actionable remediation steps for each confirmed issue. Improved remediation accountability by assigning findings to responsible system owners, establishing target remediation dates, and tracking remediation status through closure or risk acceptance. Verified remediation effectiveness through retesting of completed corrective actions, confirming that remediated vulnerabilities were no longer exploitable or were reduced to an acceptable residual-risk level
