Our team had been working on developing our MVP for almost two years, when we realized that our development partner was no longer a fit for us. That is when we came across Curated Soft – their approach and flexibility stood out for us right away. 

We had a non-standard web design project that Andrey and his team did not bat an eye at. Along with standard user experience features, we needed the website to randomly assign and record prices for users as we were implementing a randomized study.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Andrey’s team worked cohesively between the programmers and us/the designers to get us what we needed. His communication was fantastic---they asked us what format worked best for us to communicate in and we ended up having a <30 minute weekly meeting along with e-mail updates. 

Andrey and his team were also extremely efficient at translating technical specifications into plain English so we could understand what they were coding and what was happening, and made the whole process extremely accessible for not the most tech savvy people. 

They were able to guide us through the takeover process from our past vendor, assisted us with bringing best practices into our project around the documentation and code quality, and ultimately helped us finish development of our MVP in a timely manner. 

They are professional, courteous, and timely. They also provide great quality of service. Above that, they have great insights into working with early-stage startups which was extremely helpful during the development of our project.

We were impressed at how quickly Andrey and his team worked: revamping the website took around 6 weeks and the documentation exercise was completed in conjunction. So, in two months we went from a sketchy but functional wireframe to a professionally executed website designed with best-practices code that is both easier for our users to navigate and us to use on the back end. 

We had ample opportunity to test features before they went live on the website in a dev environment and the team was quick to both fix and communicate any bugs that existed before deployment. The pricing was reasonable and transparent which made it easy for us to prioritize the features and user experience we wanted to achieve.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

One of the most helpful things they did for us (though it is a standard feature of their service) is to provide documentation of our website and how it operated. We caught a lot of bugs early on and improved the functionality of the website through this exercise.

Working with Curated Soft did not feel like working with a vendor – they became an extension of our team, a fractional CTO that we needed. Overall, we would highly recommend Curated Soft to other startups, and anyone else looking for a professional development agency that works with you as a true partner.

Andrey and his team at Curated soft delivered on all agree on project items on time and sometimes earlier than projected. Andrey held weekly update meetings with me to keep me up-to-date on the project and all the completed tasks, including frequently demoing the functionality of the program we were developing. Andrey and his team are very responsive to my needs and would immediately address any concerns or questions I had during the development.
