Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.

CSCloudSolutions delivered an end-to-end cloud transformation, security hardening, and cost optimization project across our Microsoft environment. Their scope of work covered four main areas: Microsoft 365 Architecture & Migration: Migrated all user mailboxes, shared inboxes, calendars, and contacts to Exchange Online with zero data loss and no downtime during business hours. Structured and migrated our legacy file shares to SharePoint Online and OneDrive, configuring granular role-based permissions and folder hierarchies. Deployed and standardized Microsoft Teams across our remote and in-office staff for collaboration and secure communication. Cloud Security, Identity & Device Management: Configured Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) with mandatory Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and Conditional Access policies. Enrolled company workstations and mobile devices into Microsoft Intune (Endpoint Manager) to enforce encryption, compliance baselines, and remote-wipe capabilities for remote workers. Strengthened our email security posture with anti-phishing configurations and proper SPF, DKIM, and DMARC alignment. Azure Cloud FinOps & Infrastructure Optimization: Conducted a comprehensive, read-only Azure FinOps Assessment to audit our existing resource consumption. Identified and eliminated idle/zombie resources (unattached managed disks, orphaned public IPs, and legacy snapshots). Carried out rightsizing for our Virtual Machines and guided us through setting up Azure Savings Plans and Reserved Instances for predictable workloads. Ongoing Managed IT & Proactive Support (MSP): Transitioned into providing ongoing 24/7 infrastructure monitoring, user onboarding/offboarding, and a dedicated help desk for our day-to-day IT support tickets.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The most significant outcome was a 32% reduction in our monthly Microsoft Azure bill within the first two months, achieved through their FinOps audit by cleaning up zombie resources and right-sizing our workloads. On the productivity side, the entire migration of our email and documents to Microsoft 365 was completed over a weekend with zero downtime and complete data integrity. Furthermore, our Microsoft Secure Score increased from 32% to over 80% thanks to their implementation of Entra ID, MFA, and Intune device management. Operationally, their ongoing managed support has kept our ticket response times consistently under 15 minutes.

They hit every deadline without exception—the entire Microsoft 365 cutover was executed over a single weekend and was 100% ready before our staff logged in on Monday morning. Are there any areas for improvement or something CSCloudSolutions could have done differently?

Honestly, nothing regarding their technical execution or project management. If anything, in hindsight, we could have scheduled smaller, bite-sized training sessions for our less tech-savvy staff, as transitioning from our old email system to Teams and SharePoint all at once was a noticeable cultural shift for them. To their credit, CSCloudSolutions was extremely patient, recorded all training sessions, and provided step-by-step PDF cheat sheets that resolved user questions quickly.
